Freaky Friday with a killer twist
This nearly went under the radar but once I saw it was from the director of @Happy Death Day (2017) I was keen to check it out. So we have a killer twist on the body swap idea. As a serial killer and a high school girl swap bodies. This leads to a lot of interesting scenarios for both, although amusing they could have done a bit more on the comedy side.
It starts very well and in a very gory fashion with many nods to various slasher films especially Friday the 13th. Definitely a film made for horror fans. Although it slows a little bit before the final act, overall it was a fun film.

"First, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was very important to me. I probably saw that when I was 12 or 13. I really loved acting, and it was the first thing I had ever seen, it felt like, on film where acting just felt alive in a way that I had never seen before. I couldn’t believe how free and chaotic and amazing and human it all felt. Those therapy scenes are just so incredible and special. To be able to have a scene of 15 people where no one is taking you out of it and everyone just seems very vivid. It was scary to me how alive it was but very, very exciting. It just felt like, what an incredible thing it would be to be a part of that."

"This Is Spinal Tap. Let’s put that one on there. This list is gonna get really long in a minute. I mean, I love all of Christopher Guest’s movies, but I’ll put that one up there. I could easily say Best in Show as well. I don’t know, there’s just something about the Britishness of the rock and roll, which has always made me laugh, in a way. It seems to say a lot about the age that I grew up in and just before I came along. At the age I first saw it, I was very right for watching a satire about the ’70s and ’80s and a culture that had just come before, I guess. The performances are so delightful. I also really like Waiting for Guffman. God, he’s wonderful director."

"This is in no particular order, but Private Benjamin. That, I think, is a perfectly made comedy. I usually stop watching when she gets together with Armand Assante, not that I have anything against it, but for me, the movie’s over. [laughs] I thought Goldie Hawn was great, and the people who play her parents, those secondary characters whose names escape me now, do some incredible work. Albert Brooks – I just saw Private Benjamin again for the first time in four or five years a couple of months ago – he is amazing, he is so good. He’s only in the first couple of scenes, and he plays her husband and he has a heart attack on the night of their wedding reception. But it’s a great comic performance by Goldie Hawn."

If you saw the trailers for this movie before its release you would think your getting an all out humans vs aliens action movie but that's not what this is.This is more of a suspense/thriller movie with a few small action sequences thrown in.

After the earth is invaded by aliens the humans are colonised and put to work by them in exchange for their protection. No more wars..crime is down etc etc

After one failed attempt at starting a war another one is put into place and this is the main focus of the film. All is not as it seems though and when we get to the final 5 minutes of the movie all is made apparent. Not a classic in the sci-fi genre but certainly worth a look.

I grew up in the 80s and it would be fair to say I've loved the original Dark Crystal film ever since I first saw it so there was no question when we heard about the new TV series that we were going to watch it.

Although it took me a few episodes to get into thr series overall I've loved it and that feel that they've gone back to the original puppets rather than an overuse of CGI. My main problem has been similar to watching the star wars prequels in that I've been watching it with the knowledge of what will happen (based on what we know from the film) and I feel that has taken something away from my enjoyment of the characters.

This movie should have never been released, and it's the first film in a LONG time I've considered walking out of. It was so lame, and BORING. It was eye roll inducing the majority of the time. Lame lezzy love story and annoying teenage angst.
I've honestly only seen one thing Maisie Williams has been in, and that's Early Man. If she's actually that bad of an actress, she should definitely just stick to voice acting.
Anya Taylor-Joy was basically the one reason I saw this film, since she was Magick. At least her back story was a little more interesting to most.
The BEST part of the film was eye candy in the form of the hottie whose name is apparently Henry Zaga? Thanks for being nice to look at.

I just couldn't believe how completely boring and uninteresting the story line was; I would argue that even Josh Trank's Fantastic 4 train wreck was actually more entertaining.

To be completely honest, I was really disappointed with this book. It took forever to get started, it was super predictable, and the ending just felt forced and I saw it coming a mile away. I don't know why I had such high hopes for this book. I think I'd heard here and there that it was good so I really wanted to read and I finally got the chance and it was just lackluster, to say the least.

I think this idea was really cool and there's a lot of ways it could've gone and in some ways, I'm happy with what was done. But mostly, I just was not impressed. I didn't really love it but I know it's not the worst book I've read. It's a solid meh.
