"This, like my Bresson pick, is sort of a stand-in for Godard’s entire body of work. But this is one I saw on the big screen when I saw it for the first time, and I think Godard, more than anybody, needs to be seen on the big screen. I was so happy watching this movie . . . I almost never laugh out loud at movies because I’m a curmudgeon, and I remember cackling through the whole thing."

Saw this movie for the very first time just before Christmas, 2017. Lovely little gem of a film. Judy Garland is mesmerizing, and Margaret O'Brian is a treasure. One of my new favorites.

Great concept, great world building. I saw some of the twists before they came, sadly. A little too R-rated for my tastes, and a tasteless sex scene in the woods randomly... stupid.

"Number four would be Grease, which I saw ten times in the movie theater [and recently]; Paul [Soter] had never seen it, so we went to a revival when it came out again."

"Another film that I saw at an impressionable time in my life that served for me as a beautiful testament to the power of love in the face of absolute injustice and oppression."

"Yes. I like that one. It was one of those I saw late. I’d talked to everyone else who had already seen it. I like the construction of the narrative in that film."

Do not buy! Clearly fake and gave me a headache. I saw wording threw the bottle so ripped the label off thinking that there was information on the back of it and found this!

"Moby Dick — John Huston’s Moby Dick, because it was a movie I saw as a kid, and it was like the great, dramatic boy movie; it’s the movie I can still watch every week."
