The remake we needed!
Definitely enjoyed! So many scenes actually had me jumping from my seat, which is normally a rare feat! There were a couple moments that lacked, but overall highly recommend!

Fun but full of holes
This is a good fun jump scare horror which is let down by predictability and huge pot holes. However it's not enough to spoil the fun.

"The images in this film still scare me, though I’ve seen it many times. I first watched it late at night, alone, in my empty apartment. The story isn’t that compelling, but the juxtapositions of frightening images will keep you up all night."

I'll admit that this one confused me a little which made me zone in and out every so often, so that would have affected my enjoyment. This was a short creepy read, quite original and well written but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did 'The Woman in Black'. I like a good scare but this just didn't give me the scare I was hoping for, no goosebumps and the story became too predictable towards the end. Perhaps due to it's short length it came across a little flat, however, considering how short it was it was an ok read.

It was entertaining, and it had enough scares and tension beyond the common jump-scare that it wasn’t a total failure, but if you want to see a good horror film, this isn’t it.
