A good follow up film to Rec, which was re-made months after release as Quarantine. This continues right after the events of the first film, on the same night. In many ways it's more of the same, but a little less scary second time round. The fact you're following a swat team as well diminished the scare factor a bit as well. A couple of plot lines didn't quite make sense, other wise it's very entertaining if you liked the first one. It does also explain the nature of the virus, that was only mentioned briefly in the first film. A good sequel for a change, go and see it!

I read this to my 8 and 7 yr old girls and they loved it. We didnt have to read the first two to understand this one. They loved how scary and yet not scary it was. They are asking me to read the rest of the series with them. The characters didn't scare them enough to cause issues with them but scared them enough to talk about how books aren't real. lol They also loved the adventure in the story and the characters were very fun. We will recommend this author to our friends with kids. So glad the author allowed us to read it for review.

Superman gone bad
I found this dark reimagining of Superman quite hit and miss.The kid is creepy enough and fully utilises his powers once he knows what he is capable of BUT the writers could have given us a little more of what motivated him to use said powers for evil instead of good.

The film wasnt to heavily reliant on the gore,though when it did it was pretty cool (the glass in the eye scene stands out) and the occasional jump out your seat scare scene did just exactly that.

Not sure if this has the potential to open up a cinematic universe with nothing but supervillains in (as eluded to in a credits scene)
