Jack Cunningham (Ben Affleck) was a High School basketball phenom who walked away from the game, forfeiting his future. Years later, when he reluctantly accepts a coaching job at his alma mater, he may get one last shot at redemption.

First of all I have to say that the thought of a film based around basketball wasn’t something that appealed to me on first hearing about Finding The Way Back, but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the film and how powerful not only the performances were but the story and feel of the film.

This is a movie that is one that you can sit back with and take in the story and how Affleck’s character’s life took a turn after his Basketball career ended, but he has the chance to come back when he is asked to coach the school team which hasn’t won any games in such a long time.

Reading this book took me back to high school and the day I walked into the locker room and saw one of my dearest friends undressed... the way she looked still haunts me but I'm thankful that her parents sent her away to an inpatient program.

This is one of those reads that opens your eyes to eating disorders and packs a powerful message into each and every single line. A must read.

One of the best musicals brought to the silver screne. Starring Travolta and Newton John in this take on 1960's high school preps and greasers. The songs are legendary and the story line never has a dull moment in it. The cast is a who's who of actors and actresses in the AFI top 100 movies of all time. Another well thought out title from the publishers, Jessica Kingsley Publishers. This one follows Carlos' attempts to "fit in" with other groups of friends and discovering in the end that they all like him for who is really is. Nicely illustrated, the language is more targeted at a younger audience and with notes and resources for teachers and parents. This book would work well in primary or first school and with homeschooling.

A fun tale of kids of a weekend detention at at high school. These teens are all different but they learn they are not so different after all. I took my son to see this when a local theater was showing this classic. with his reaction i believe this movie stands the test of time in the eyes of teens it was like when i first seen this film when i was his age.

Andrea "Andy" Kndricks has lost touch with her friend from high school, but she's willing to jump in and clear this friend of killing her boss even if it means going under cover at a questionable restaurant as a waitress. The pacing was uneven, but the characters were good and the book fun.

Deuce Winters finds himself a suspect in the death of his high school rival after the man's body is found in his minivan. I enjoyed the characters, especially Deuce and his wife. But I felt the mystery was pretty thin and was annoyed by the author's willful ignoring any sense of time.
