Great assembled cast (0 more)
Surprisingly good
Quite a good premise as Kristen Bell's character goes through hell at high school. Only to discover years later her Brother is set to marry the girl who made her life difficult.
I didn't expect much from this but was surprised at the cast including Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and even Betty White to name a few. Comedies around marriage seem popular in recent years and this reminded me of @The Proposal (2009) in many ways. It has similar humour based on the families clashing and settling old scores.

Let’s be honest Amazon streaming service sucks. Owch.
Oh boy it’s Amazon
Amazon the killer of old school retail. Let’s be honest everyone loves shopping in their underwear. I mean does it really get better than that? You pay a small subscription fee which not only gives you free two day shipping. (Which has saved my butt one to many times). It also gives you excess to their streaming subscriptions, prime reading and prime music! What a steal!

An imaginative story of dragons and a poor, plain girl named Creel. This is an excellent read for not only school age children but also adults. I loved the new take on dragons and what they all hoard instead of gold and jewels. The descriptions of dragons as well as Creel's dress work was vivid and believable. I could really place myself there with Creel and go through what she was going through, even down to her itchy feet while wearing her blue dragon slippers. Recommended! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.

The Haunting of Hill House- Season 1
The Haunting of Hill House- Season 1
2018 | Horror
I have been binge watching this with my mom and we both love the show. I'd heard from a few friends that the pacing is too slow and while I can see what they're talking about, I don't agree. I find the flashbacks and the ghost easter eggs as well as the ways the storylines are being brought together to be very satisfying. I really like that while it has them, it doesn't rely on jumpscares. The acting is hit or miss, but the main cast are all very talented. I would definitely recommend watching it, especially if you prefer old school horror.

Final Destination (2000)
Final Destination (2000)
2000 | Horror, Mystery
Released 17 years ago in March 2000, Final Destination revolutionised the teen-slasher genre for 00s after Scream did so well for the 90s generation of horror buffs.

The premise was perfectly realised as high-school students tried their best to cheat death after a horrific disaster. The plane sequence in this film still holds up today and remains one of the best horror moments in the last couple of decades.

The acting on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Though a young Devon Sawa was a magnetic leading presence.

Funny when I was a kid
The story of two best buds who like to make practical jokes and write a comic book about their principal which they named him captain underpants. The end up hypnotizing their principal into believing he is this rather dumb superhero. He can be un hypnotized by getting hit with water or put back in hypnotized for by one of the two boys snapping their fingers. The reason they want to keep him in this hypnotized form is so that they dont get split up at school cause together they just make trouble.

One of my favorite book series
This book series is so under-rated! It's got a great story line and is an all around great young adult read. Just a little background, a girl gets moved from Illinois to Georgia because her dad got a better job. On top of not knowing many people, weird things start happening to her she then gets help from a lady in town to use her new gift. When she teams up with a few kids from school they become a great team in helping the lost souls in her historic new town.

Riley Mack was labeled a troublemaker after an ill-advised attempt to steal an ice cream cake. Now he tries to help his friends out of problems with school bullies. But when one friend has his dog stolen, Riley and the gang may be in over their heads. There's lots going on here that will keep kids engaged. Personally, I thought the characters were a little weak, but I don't think kids will notice or care.

Travel reporter Mallory Marlowe is off to Aspen, Colorado, to write an article aimed at non-skiers. Part of it will focus on former high school acquaintance Carly, founder of a fancy resort. But when Carly is murdered, Mallory finds herself investigating that as well. This is the second book in the series, and I enjoyed it as much as the first thanks to the real characters and strong plot. I'm going to have to start reading the author's other series.

Danvers hates his life, especially since no one appreciates his attempts to create stunts that his idol, Gonzo, would love. But one morning Danvers wakes up as a Muppet. What is happening? And how will his life change? I found the book to be a very fast read, the large number of pictures certainly helped. Yet, I also found it quite funny. Any fan of the Muppets will enjoy it, down to the elementary school target audience.
