"I suppose I never found boredom very boring"
Quentin is a senior in high school. Graduation is right around the corner and then he's off to Duke. When his next door neighbor, Margo knocks on his bedroom window late one night, he's reminded of a time when they were younger and used to truly be friends. Margo is extremely upset about the current status of her relationship with her boyfriend and is looking for someone to help her pull of the ultimate revenge. When Margo goes "missing" the next day, Quentin will stop at nothing to use her breadcrumbs and find her.
I decided to read this book for two reasons. Reason 1: It was coming on HBO and of course I had to read the book before I could watch the movie. Reason 2: I loved The Fault in Our Stars and when I enjoy a book by a particular author, I like to read everything they have written. Now I'm looking forward to watching the movie.
This whole book is based around a group of high school seniors who are out searching for their quirky friend, Margo. I liked the book because it was a quick easy read. It kept my attention throughout and I had to know how it was going to end. The book brought me back to my high school years(especially with my 20 year reunion coming up) with the references to poetry and prose I read during that time. During my 11th grade year we read a lot of poetry and classic literature. Interpreting poetry either as the author intended or by your own life experiences. Also this book made me thing about how far I would go to help someone else. Quentin and Margo are neighbors, but as time has gone on and their lives have changed, they aren't close friends, more like acquaintances. So when she disappears for yet another time, why does he feel it's his duty to be the one to find her?
This is a good YA book that may make some more interested in the poetry and classic literature featured in this and other John Green books.

What happens when your nouveau-riche father decides that his daughter needs to be more cultures? Your entire world is flipped upside-down as you're sent to a boarding school in a country where you don't speak the language. That's exactly what happens to Anna when she's sent to the School of America, in Paris. She now must make new friends, try to stay in touch with her old ones and the most terrifying ordeal of all? Ordering her meals in French. She might want some nice fresh <i>pain</i> (bread) but ends up saying <i>paon</i> (peacock). Yum, <i>paon</i> and <i>fromage</i> for breakfast.
It may seem strange, but I enjoy the use of language in this book. I think accents, like St. Clair's are written very authentically. Bridge's love of words is a great way to introduce readers to new worlds. (And seriously inspires me to see if I can find a set of Oxford English Dictionaries for my personal library.) The use of foreign languages in books can be tricky to do well, but I think the author struck a balance brilliantly.
I find Anna very relatable - it doesn't hurt that she's a fellow lefty. But I also feel like she reads older than she is. Throughout the novel, I feel like she is at University (aged 19-20) rather than still in high school. Her desire to be a film ritic is how I feel about books and reviewing. She says, "I just like... expressing my opinion. That possiblity of turning someone on to something really great." Reading is my passion and I wan to share that with people. If I can introduce them to a book I've fallen in love with and it touches them in some way - I'm happy.
When I read the novel, I can feel myself walking along the Seine or admiring Notre Dame. Paris is a beautiful setting adn the author represents it wonderfully. It is one of those novels that gives you wanderlust and an undeniable urge to visit the places that Anna does.

Sophia Messa is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Manhattan, New York. Not too long ago, she released a rhythmic pop tune, entitled, “offyourface”.

‘offyourface’ tells an interesting tale of a young woman who is seeing a guy who is head-over-heels in love with her.
She realizes that he’s addicted to her love, therefore, she recommends that they should take their time and not rush things.
Later, she admits that he’s the last one that she wants to hurt, but the tears running down his face tells a completely different story. She ends up leaving him with high hopes, and now he’s going psycho.
‘offyourface’ contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and rhythmic instrumentation scented with a danceable pop fragrance.
“‘offyourface’ is about jumping into a relationship, maybe a bit too quickly. But it also celebrates going with your gut when entering new relationships and the idea of going after what you want. Sophia Messa is a first generation American, born to self-made immigrant parents. Also, she is a dual citizen of Brazil and the United States.
She attended The Professional Performing Arts School (home to Alicia Keys) for middle and high school, where she was classically trained in vocal performance and opera.
Inspired by the world around her, she began writing original music in high school and recorded demos at a studio across the street from her apartment.
During her senior year, she was accepted into The Berklee College of Music. At just three weeks in, she signed a record deal and headed back to New York to launch her career.

Louisas ex-BFF, however, doesnt seem too happy to welcome Zoey to the neighborhood. And when they all end up at church camp together, its not just a matter of whether or not Zoey can fit in
it becomes a firsthand lesson in what it really means to love your enemy.
When the school year begins, Zoeys terrified to go without Louisawhos out with a nasty flu. The same enemies she made over the summer are there to haunt her, but she and another new girl stick together and even seem to find a place among the in-crowd. But is this who Zoey wants to be? Are they really her friends? Whos going to stick beside her when cyber bullying leaves her as the odd girl out?
My Thoughts: This is a wonderful series of books for young "tweenage" girls. Zoey is an interesting young lady who is not your typical girl. Left with grandparents she barely knows Zoey is embarking on a new life and starting a new school. Zoey feels what most young people feel when they move into a new place, that is how to fit in and make friends. But there's Kayla, the girl who just can't seem to like Zoey at all.
Zoey learns to deal with a bully and learns that just like Christ loved everyone, we should also.
This is a wonderful series that I believe all young girls can relate to and will enjoy. The character of Zoey is easy to relate to as she has to make new friends, start a new school. It's all the things young people dread. It will help them understand that they aren't alone in their feelings and how to relate to friendship pressures that occur in day to day life.
