Zo Zo Zombie is a manga series aimed at junior readers. It's full of silly, gross elementary school age boy humor. It's consistently full of that type of humor, so if you're looking for something for an elementary school aged boy to read, check this out. It's probably best for 4th-6th grade readers.

A dystopian novel not of the YA variety
I originally read this book because it was part of the Bioethics curriculum that I inherited at a high school I worked at. As I was reading it, I realized it wasn't your average high school blah fest. (That being said, now that I am rereading some of the books assigned in high school, those high school books aren't actually all that bad...it's amazing what reading for pleasure vs. reading for assignments can do) Some parts were like-...what...? and other parts were like WHAT??!??!?!?!??! Definitely kept me interested throughout. Just the right amount of backstory sprinkled throughout to help keep you following but still keep you wondering.

school shooting in Ya
Honestly if your going to read a YA book involving a school shooting read Hate List by Jennifer Brown.

I didn't connect with Sam and there was a lot of things both schools did after the event that just wouldn't happen school have certain rules with dealing with event and i just couldn't get into this book. I do applaude anyone who takes on such a difficult subject matter however more people should be willing to try writing about the difficult things in life to help people try to understand.

The original was cool because there was nothing like it before and you could play at school

This was a really funny movie. I love the part where Deadpool visited the school for X-men that was probably my favorite!

New Beginnings by Rebecca Emin is a book about a girl named Sam Hendry who faces bullying at her new school. The subject of this book that is carefully dealt with is bullying. Bullying is a problem that many students face today. This book also deals with the everyday life of a soon-to-be teenager.

Sam is a girl who is about to leave her primary school and friends to start at a new school. At the new school Sam does not know anyone there. Sam wants to stay at her primary school where she feel comfortable. She does not want to have to find new friends, but she does not have a choice. Even worse, at the new school Sam is the target by the bully of the school. Life does not seem to be going well for Sam but luckily she finds friends. She joins the drama club where she is able to express herself and nurture her talents.

Sam’s life involves her friends, talent, interests and first crush. The plot line effectively covers it all. It was refreshing to read about life through innocent eyes. I wish the author had given the reader a more indepth look at the lives of the different characters. I enjoyed reading this innocent story.

I give this book 4/5 stars.

I received this book from Gingersnap Books via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
