My preferred way to keep from getting lost.
I use Google Maps a lot. There is something nice about having all of the maps for anywhere that you are right in your hand at all times.

Recently on a trip to Seattle, as a family, we used Google maps to get down to Pike's Fish Market, find a spot for lunch, get back to the car, and then with a quick Google search we got to drive by the Hospital that they use for the outside shots of Grey's Anatomy.

Such a solid app!

"The nonfictional account of Mary McCarthy's idyllic childhood, cut short by the death of her parents. McCarthy was orphaned by the influenza epidemic that followed WWI; both of her parents died in a flash. She was then raised by her grandparents in Seattle. The wonderful thing she does in the book is to tell what happened, and then to write about what might have happened. It takes 'memoir' to a whole other level. It gives you a shot of adrenaline; it makes you ask yourself, 'What was the transformational moment in my life when my story really begins?'"

Judy Greer recommended Singles (1992) in Movies (curated)

Singles (1992)
Singles (1992)
1992 | Comedy, Drama, Romance

"I think I’m going to go with Singles, and it’s because of a very specific time in my life. Soundtrack is really important to me, and I’m a child of ’90s grunge. That movie was Seattle, Nirvana, Pearl Jam — it’s the greatest soundtrack. My favorite band was Smashing Pumpkins and my favorite song by Smashing Pumpkins is “Drown,” and that’s on there. Plus, I loved all the different storylines being woven together. I love Cameron Crowe, and the idea of these people living in Seattle and looking for love. I was a senior in high school when it came out. I mean, I saw it in the theater like three times. I was like, “Oh my God, this is gonna be my life. I’m gonna move out of my parents’ house, and I’m gonna go and try to make it in the city somewhere, and it’s gonna be like this.” And, you know, Bridget Fonda as Janet was just the greatest character. I was like, “I’m gonna be like her. I am kind of like her. But not the pathetic parts of her, the great parts of her.” But everyone was just was trying to find themselves, find love, find a career, find a path, find their life. It was really aspirational for me at the time that it came out, so it really scratches that itch that I had then, and it will always be that meaningful to me. I recently made my husband watch it. I can’t remember if he had seen it or if he just didn’t remember it, but I just could tell, even though he loved it and appreciated it, like, it didn’t kill him the way it killed me. And you know, he was like, “Yeah, no, it’s good. I like it.” But he is obsessed with Almost Famous, and I love Almost Famous, but that was more meaningful for him. Singles is just… the movie, the music, the time, the look, the actors, the wardrobe, the backdrop of Seattle. Just all of it."

SEXLESS IN SEATTLE is the first book in a new series and is loosely based upon Sleepless in Seattle (no surprise there!)

Zach and Eric lost their parents two years ago, and Zach gave up everything to look after his brother, who was only ten at the time. Zach was only twenty and missed out on a lot of things. Luckily for him, he still has his friend group who try to make things better. Tristan is a little older than Zach and is looking for love. He's had enough of hookups. Through Eric's machinations, these two start texting and then the story moves along.

Low angst and super sweet - that's what you'll get if you pick this book up, and I loved every word! Zach and Tristan were great characters who weren't too good to be true. They both had doubts and fears but also communicated and thought about each other. I loved how they both changed in the bedroom! It was hot and steamy between them when they finally reached that stage, but I loved that Tristan took it slowly for Zach.

A great story and loads of other characters I now want stories for! Plus Skylar's!!! Absolutely recommended by me.

Currently playing on the PS4 is it as good as the original game which I finally beat last month so I had to play the sequel I like it so even after all the leaks on the internet and people saying they won't be playing cause of certain parts of the game. Anyway none of this has put me off from playing the game. The game follows five years after the events of the first game as we find Joel and Ellie living in Jackson with Tommy Joel's brother in his community making new friends including dina But unfortunately for Joel his actions at the end of the first gane come back to haunt him in a big way which I won't spoil here. This game is about revenge and what Ellie will do to get it and what cost. So far I've played at least five hours of the game and what I've seen so far is wow and that's just Seattle naughty dog have created an amazing version of the for the game u could get lost just roaming thru the looking for stuff. My favourite part of the game so far me is Ellies version of take on me by aha beautifully played by Ashely Johnson I started dining along too. Anyway too sum up how much I've played the game so far the original is still the best but the sequel is close to being better.

There were many things that attracted me to this novel by Bauermeister, first she’s from the Pacific-Northwest which is where I live. She lives in Seattle I live in Vancouver. The second, cooking, food, learning to cook, all things that I am fascinated with and want to explore more with includes me actually getting into my kitchen and cooking. Not only that, she appreciates the smells, textures, emotions, and all the ingredients that make up a recipe, not only for eating, but for your own life.
I identified with all of the characters, Tom, Chloe, Clair, Lillian, Antonia, Carl, Helen, and Ian. Lillian’s the teacher and the rest students. So worth reading, I devoured each page like a fine pasta dish from Italy. I recommend it.

"I read every night. I do the Kindle thing. My wife bought it for me, and at first, I wouldn't use it because I'm such a book guy. I had to hide that I wasn't using it. After four or five months, she asked me what the deal was, so I tried it and now I read on it. Actually, I read the book on Kindle and then I also have a library in Seattle. So, I just finished Caroline Alexander's The Bounty: The True Story of the Mutiny on the Bounty. It's really good. The Bounty was a merchant ship when merchant ships were not at all glamorous. War was glamorous. The story had a bunch of scarred-up dudes, and it was just interesting overall."

"On Christmas of 1994, I was fifteen and had just come out to my family. I was also an aspiring writer who adored Virginia Woolf. I put Chloe Plus Olivia on my Christmas list, not expecting anyone to actually seek out an anthology of lesbian literature and buy it for me. But my dad did: he made a special trip to the University Bookstore in Seattle; he wrapped it and put it under the tree for me. I devoured the book, took it to college with me years later, then moved into my first apartment with it when I was twenty. It’s long gone now (lost in another move), but I still remember it fondly as a formative literary text, and as a sign that my dad loved and supported me without hesitation."

Obsession
Fear- is a good thriller, Mark Walhberg does a good job as the obsesser. He is a mix between Norman Bates, Patrick Batman, Jack Torrence and Max Cady. A psychopath that cant be stopped.

The plot: When 16-year-old Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon) meets 23-year-old David McCall (Mark Wahlberg) at a Seattle nightclub, she falls in love. David is exciting and charming, and despite the wide age gap, he wins over Nicole's family -- except for her workaholic father, Steven (William Petersen), who's suspicious of David from the start. His concerns are realized when David turns out to be a violent sociopath who sees Nicole as his possession, and her family home a fortress to be invaded.

Its a intense movie and it does a good job been a thriller
