3.5 stars, i think.

I guess the storyline might not be for everyone but i didn't have a problem with it--it is fiction after all. I liked the description of Hawaii, it sounds beautiful, and kinda deadly. I loved the connection between all the co-workers, they really were like one big family.

I loved the second chance romance, though I found it a little strange how suddenly Logan's attitude changed to Ronnie. One minute they're arguing and winding each other up, the next they're kissing and admitting their love for each other. I know it'd been brewing in the background for seven years but... yeah, i didn't quite understand it.

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. I generally like second chance romances but it rubbed me the couple’s history rubbed me the wrong way. I know it shouldn’t and that I am close-minded for thinking so.

I enjoyed the concept of this romance. Storm chasing isn’t something we see a lot especially in the romance genre. I felt like it added enough tension and another dimension to Drew and Aiden’s relationship. I felt like they had more going on than just the typical “oh we can’t be together because of her dead ex-fiancé.” I appreciated that. And honestly, they just made sense together.

This is the first novel I have read by this author so I am glad it was such an enjoyable read. Rothert really knows how to tell a love story.

**BOOK SYNOPSIS**
This historical romance novella collection presents "A Texas Christmas Carol," where a town's wealthy, Scrooge-like bachelor finds his world invaded by a woman set on earning his donation for helping the local poor, and the penetrating questions of three mysterious visitors.

It also includes "An Archer Family Christmas." When the Archer clan gathers for the holiday, they encounter an unexpected request for help that will require all their effort and a Christmas miracle to see them through.

In previously published "Gift of the Heart," a widow uses the family brooch as collateral for a loan from the local resort owner. But the more she comes to know the man behind the stern businessman, the more she hopes for a second chance at love this Christmas.

Second Installment of Solid YA Series
I just recently re-read the entire Mortal Instruments series and thoroughly enjoyed it (maybe even more so than the first time around). This book is a solid sequel to the first one, and continues to develop Claire's creative world and characters.

The action is fun, the romance is hot (although sometimes a little too distracting from the plot), and the writing is good. Claire does a great job mixing in humor and emotion with her story, so the characters are engaging - even when they are unreasonable, selfish, and childish.

Give the series a chance if you like YA. It's a fantastic source of entertainment.
