Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated The Evil Queen (The Forest of Good and Evil, #1) in Books
Dec 31, 2019
I received a copy of The Evil Queen from Harlequin TEEN (US Canada) through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I wanted to like this one more than I actually did.
The righting is great and a lot of it is really evocative but the character of Every came off as about 12 or so. Her reactions didn't strike me as realistic for a high schooler at all.
The dialogue is a bit cheesy at points but I'm not gonna complain to much because what's a fairy tale without some cheese?
I did enjoy the story but the sensual parts did come off a bit awkward to me on account of the MC seeming so young.

Wow... I didn't know what this story would be about when I started it. I am so glad I decided to do so anyways because it was amazing and wonderful. It was dark.. it was high.. it was low.. it was all over the place.. my feelings were invested so much that I kept reading until it was over and then I was left wishing I had more. It was wonderful. The writing was deep and complex and it was a roller coaster ride of emotions. The writing was erotic, thrilling and sensual.. it made you think... and made you wonder about what was happening next and there were a lot of surprises. Totally amazing story by Gavazzoni and I recommend it if you enjoy a dark, thrilling and suspensful story.
Merissa (11731 KP) rated Covet (Vampire Erotic Theatre #1) in Books
Dec 17, 2018
If you are looking for a hot, sensual and thrilling (on more than one level) quick read, then I suggest you try out Felicity Heaton's first book in the Vampire Erotic Theatre series. This book lets you dip your toe in the vampire's world. It gives you a run down on the difference between the two sets of vampires and gives you a quick insight into what their world is like. There are characters in here that make the story very intriguing - and not just Javier and Lilah!
I love the groundwork that the author has put down, these details are what makes a book special and very, very readable.
If you want something bland and boring, then pass by this Novella. This is hot and spicy - loved it!

Charlotte (184 KP) rated Two For Tuesday in Books

An erotic ride....
Two for Tuesday is an erotic, very sensual story. Not only does it draw you into a heady sexual relationship but it highlights the differences between different social backgrounds.....Mel being a more country girl and Marcus being from the city.
Colour is only really referred to once or so, the cheeky stereotype.....which Mel clears up by saying she's gone back and forth over that line haha.
I like both characters, though Marcus was a tad needy, but it didn't make it any less enjoyable......just more realistic.
Bit of a spoiler......it gives hope that things can happen/get back on track after years apart. Also that sexual chemistry can't always be worn out!!
Definitely an adult only read.....to be read alone as it gets pretty hot and very detailed!

Dec 12, 2017
I have no idea what rock I had been living under but I sure am glad that I climbed out from underneath it and read this book because I LOVED IT!!!
Erica is a young woman who is caught up in an abusive relationship but that's not all; her husband Shawn is a vampire. When things finally come to a head for Erica she runs for her life with the help of the very attractive and sumptuous Kevin. However, things are not what they seem and Erica is in for the ride of her life.
The author's creative and sensual writing style does not leave you lacking. The story line is well developed and the sizzling sex scenes will leave you completely breathless. The characters are strong and compliment the story rather well and did I mention the tantalizing sex scenes?! I look forward to reading more books from this author and I HIGHLY suggest/recommend you quickly jump on the Alice Brown band wagon.

Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Boys Next Door in Books

Hot steamy action from the first page but soon wears a bit thin as there's more sex than storyline to the book and I'm finding I'm scanning through the sex scenes the further I get in to the book just in the hope of finding some thing more interesting. This would have been a good book if a little more thought had gone into the writing, it needs more depth. I disliked the crudeness of some of the descriptions and it could have been more sensual but THEN, just when I think this is going to be a standard read the last couple of chapters are captivating. They have feeling and emotion, everything the rest of the book didn't have and I'm now feeling robbed that the rest of the book wasn't the same.
In the end the last few chapter more than make up for the rest, this is an adult read and I did enjoy it in the end.
3.5 Stars

Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Walk With Me by Rotimi in Music
Jun 18, 2019
Rotimi is a singer and actor from Maplewood, New Jersey. Not too long ago, he released a music video for his tropical R&B single, entitled, “Love Riddim”.
“Wish I could start it over. Baby, I need you over. Wish I could taste, kiss you down by your waist. He treats you wrong. Wish I could show you, love. Wish I could make you know it. Baby, you need to know it” – lyrics
‘Love Riddim’ tells a sensual tale of a young guy who is skilled at touching the right spots on the lower parts of a desirable female’s body.
Apparently, the woman in question has a boyfriend, but he doesn’t make her go “Oh-ooh ooh-oh” as her lover does.
Therefore, she creeps discreetly with her lover during the nighttime hours. Also, her mind travels elsewhere when he touches her down below.
‘Love Riddim’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and vibey instrumentation flavored with tropical, afrobeat, and contemporary R&B elements.
