"This title never comes through the spell check unscathed. I love director William Greaves’s bravery for making this outrageously fascinating experimental feature that pushes the boundaries of what’s traditionally accepted in film. There are actually two films here. The first one, which he made in the late sixties, was somehow denied a proper release, and the sequel (of sorts) he made over thirty-five years later. Part one was my favorite discovery at Sundance 1992, and I was proud and honored to have worked on the second installment. More to come, Bill?"

"Let me talk about Last Picture Show… that’s just popped into my mind. For me, that’s a movie that is kind of like no other movie, and no other movie is like it. It just kind of sits there by itself. I guess Peter Bogdonovich is to blame for that, and of course Larry McMurtry, the great writer. We had a chance, like Tron, where we got to do the sequel to Picture Show; twenty years later we shot Texasville. There are three more installments that Larry wrote, that I’m hoping will get made."

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991)
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991)
1991 | Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi
Take everything good about the first movie, add William Sadler in what is surely his most iconic performance ever, members of Faith No More, a performance from goddam Primus (!), a sequence in hell that's genuinely unnerving as shit, evil robot versions of Bill and Ted, Hal Landon Jr's weirdly accurate impression of Ted, and a sprinkling of Pam Grier, and you get an absurdly wild sequel that tries to one up it's predecessor at every turn, and mostly succeeds.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is a ride. Love it.

The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017)
2017 | Action, Comedy
I missed this one in the cinema when it came out (in 2017).

The only reason I've even heard of it now is due the the 2021 sequel.

Anyway, this is an action-comedy buddy movie starring Ryan Reynolds as a down-on-his-luck Bodyguard, who has to accompany Samuel L Jackson's hitman to a criminal hearing in The Hague where he is to give testimony against Gary Oldman's dictator.

With Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson on board, you know pretty much what to expect: bickering, gunfights, more bickering, swearing, bickering, gunfights ...

A Well Placed Sequel to Season One
Again this was my second time watching this season and honestly the farmhouse is one of my favorite. Along with introducing Maggie, one of my favorite characters, you also get to see how things continue to develop with the previously established characters. They begin to warp and change in ways one couldn't imagine, goving you a glimpse into who or what they will grow into as the series continues.
