Very disappointing
The first film The Boy was a pleasant surprise and much better than I expected it to be. I was quite surprised when this sequel popped up out of nowhere. I can understand why it didn't have much publicity. This is the film I feared the first one would be.
Boring jump scares, loud noises, no real atmosphere, it felt way longer than the 86min run time. It was dull, didn't use the iconic location of the first film much and just fades badly in comparison to the first film. It also does take a different approach to the first film. Make sure you see @The Boy (2016) but steer clear of this, that's the only rule you need to follow.

Not as scary as blurb suggests
Creepy but over described
I enjoyed this book overall, the blurb makes the villain seem a lot more threatening than he actually is, not that there aren't some gross parts. The plot was interesting and I like how it dealt with a unique disease.

The scene was set quite well early on but I think more could have been done to elicit this throughout the book.

I liked the main detective and the psychologist, I could see a sequel in the future with the usual love hate relationship emerging between them.

There were a few instances where the story was a little unbelievable, particularly around the flooring scene. Plus some of the facts of the case are happened upon and theories are very much close to the truth.

Mothergamer (1613 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Persona 5 Strikers in Video Games

Persona 5 Strikers
Persona 5 Strikers
2021 | Action/Adventure, Role-Playing
This is a sequel to Persona 5. Set 6 months after the events in Persona 5, Joker is ready to reunite with his fellow Phantom Thieves for a Summer vacation camping trip. Things take a turn and they end up on another insane adventure. The road trip aspect of the game is great and the combat system is different too. It's an action hack and slash making exploration of each dungeon known as jails fun. Fusing personas is in there as well as a new bond system that levels up the entire party's skills. The art and story in the game keep the spirit of the Persona 5 game alive, but also form its own unique thing as well making for a fun experience. A must read!
What a book! An amazing sequel to The Burning Chambers. The detail in the description is exactly what I have come to expect from Kate Mosse’s books and she did not disappoint with this one. I loved seeing Piet and Minou’s family grow. There was the same amount of suspense about whether and how things would work out for them all, and that suspense carried on right until the last chapter and even the last sentences. I cannot wait for the third instalment of this series and to find out more about what happens to they Reydon family and whether they can in fact live their lives in peace or whether trouble will always find them! A must read for anyone who is interested in historical fiction as it touches on some major events in history.

Murder can be fun!
Picture Edge of Tomorrow, but instead of aliens killing someone over & over, it's a slasher. Simple enough. Just like that film, and Groundhog Day, our protagonist learns from their mistakes & becomes a better person. Jessica Rothe was great as the one who's stuck in the time loop. She's very funny. The story is very simple, but it's entertaining. I figured out who was who (trying not to give anything away here), but it didn't matter. There are some creepy parts, but unlike most slasher films, there is practically no gore. Which is fine. In fact, you may not even consider it a slasher film. The one problem I have with the film is it doesn't explain why she is looping. But I hear the sequel explains it. Guess I'll have to watch that soon.
