Man, I was expecting some good old fashioned silly nonsense out of this, but it turned out to be a whole buttload of fun, and stupidly wholesome.
Dylan O'Brien plays a perfect down-on-his-luck, sort of loser who everyone can relate to, and makes for a hugely likable lead. The story of Joel and his dog, Boy, wondering a post apocalyptic, monster-infested America is an engaging one, full of decent set pieces, great CG work, and colourful characters. It almost feels like a family friendly version of The Last of Us, which is absolutely fine with me whilst we wait for the HBO series to land. It's certainly the closest thing we have to a Fallout movie. The pacing is spot on, with plenty of funny moments (and a sharp script), a good dose of heartwarming inner turmoil, and well placed moments of peril, ensuring that proceedings never become boring.

Love and Monsters is a blast. I have everything crossed that it will get a sequel!

Brilliant film!
Where do I start, I personally don't have a problem with low budget films, especially qwerky comedy/horror's like this one. It all started when a young man stayed awake to see what his babysitter got upto whilst he sleeps, turns out the hot fun babysitter called Bee (better known as samara weaving who played a brilliant rill in the comedy horror ready or not!) is part of a blood cult, a deal with the devil and tries to perform a ritual but this scared kid reeks havoc as he tried to escape them because no one is to know what happened that night.

With this well made film, 2 years later it goes back to see how his life is now since then, no. 2 offers good twists and I was happy to see they used all the same actors! In this sequel there is plenty of blood gore and comedy to keep you entertained. Definitely one to watch if you enjoyed the first one this will not disappoint.

I found it very disappointing, not a patch on the first one.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)

On par with the first movie, with the added benefit of looking like an actual film production and not a basement eyesore. Maintains the loose schema but ups the joke consistency and jovial absurdity at least five, maybe ten-fold. So if you had to pull me on it, I'd say this one is better. My biggest quibble is that it needed to shave off around fifteen minutes, and truthfully I have less qualms about the actual length as opposed to the steam all but fizzling out in the last act. Also helps that this leans much more into its setting and subject matter, aiming for some admittedly broad satire but no less accurate. A way better comedy movie let alone sequel than it has any right to be, and you all scared McKay away to mostly dull-arrowed political farces because he had the heart to offer us this. For shame. Funny as fuck most of the time, and I just love how lived-in and learned these performances are by actors who know their characters inside and out.

I'am the law

Dredd- is a non stop action film from beginning to end. Karl urban was the perfect choice for dredd.

Mega City One is a vast, violent metropolis where felons rule the streets. The only law lies with cops called "judges," who act as judge, jury and executioner, and Dredd is one of the city's most feared. One day, Dredd is partnered with Cassandra, a rookie with powerful psychic abilities. A report of a terrible crime sends Dredd and Cassandra to a dangerous area controlled by Ma-Ma, a drug lord who will stop at nothing to protect her empire.

Once dredd and his parter are stuck inside a building no way in or out, thats when the real action begins, killing everyone in the way to reach ma-ma and stop her from releasing the slow mo drug to the world.

Its sad to see that dredd didnt do well in the box office or in theaters, because dredd was a great movie. Its also sad that we havent gotting a sequel to dredd.

Dredd is a highly reccomendation.

Final Destination 2 (2003)
Final Destination 2 (2003)

This sequel to Final Destination is more of the same... No better or worse actually. It sticks to the same formula as it's predecessor (and all of the subsequent entries), and is pretty much where the semi decent FD sequels end.

The set up premonition is pretty good - Director David R. Ellis is better known for his extensive stunt directing, and it's shows in scenes like this.
The extra features included in the home release show that this scene was done almost entirely practically. I feel that this always makes a difference.

The extra features also reveal how a lot of the kills were achieved using practical effects, which again, is something I can truly respect and admire, even if they were polished off with the CGI.

The finished result is a film that isn't great by any means, but it is a fun ride, that follows on from the first film nicely.

The acting is hammy, but the cast are mostly fine, and even includes another cameo from Tony Todd 👍
