Just seen at cineworld it's more of the same as a long time reader of spider man comics I knew enough of cleatus kassidy and his other half carnage and when I heard woody harrelson was gonna play him I thought good choice he fits the character perfectly as a foil to venom as a sequel better than the first stay to the end credits for extra scene

Vacations don't always go to plan
Detective James Carter (Tucker) and Inspector Lee (Chan) are vacationing in Hong Kong.
when a bomb explosion at the US Consulate kills two undercover agents Lee is assigned to the case unbeknownst to detective Carter, causing a rift between the two.

The return of the action comedy duo bring more laughs and action to the table than previously as Rush Hour 2 became a rarity... A solid sequel.

A safe and predictable MIB sequel
MIB International is one of those films that isn't balls out awful, but definitely isn't good. It's a passable and relatively entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth star as Agents M and H, and are a fun enough leading duo. The chemistry between them is ok, but does lack something that was more abundant in Thor: Ragnarok.
Liam Neeson is fine as well, but he's not really doing anything outside of just being Liam Neeson.
I guess the issue here is that although the cast are all good, it feels like the character could have been played by anyone else, and nothing would have been lost - certainly not the case with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the original.
Either way, in the case of MIB International, I just got the general feeling that no one involved seem to really care all that much, both in front of and behind camera.

The plot is exactly what you would expect from a MIB sequel. Aliens, a powerful weapon, saving the world...it's all been done before.
Although the over arching plot is absolutely riddled with plot holes if you think about it too much.
Some of the alien designs are pretty good and the rampant CGI is ok...ish...

I'm not convinced that the original MIB ever needed follow up movies, and I'm still not, but as far they go, International isn't the worst sequel like I'd heard...has everyone just straight up forgotten how bad the second one is!?

I thought this was an okay film. I can say that it's almost 100% likely that I'll watch anything with Chris Hemsworth in it and he's great. I will say that I wish I held onto him a little more. I feel like if they would've rolled out his story sooner or built the connection with Ovi more, I would've really felt a connection to him. I just felt like it came a little too late.

I've said it before, but I love it when films have a short timeline because I feel like it allows for a richer story with more details and not as much to contend with in making sure the details align and it all makes sense. I think that if this film would've had a longer plot time, it would've messed up the rhythm.

I liked that they left an ending that could provide for a sequel but didn't need it. If it does end up standing alone, it's a film that can do that. But it could also benefit from a sequel. It doesn't feel like this entire first film was a set up for a second film. This movie has enough to stand on its own and still be a good watch.

I am glad I watched it and I will probably watch the sequel if they do release one, but I can't say I'll ever come back to it or that I highly recommend. Watch it for Hemsworth or don't watch it at all.

It May Be Dawn, But The Sun Shines For This Film
I loved this film as much as the first and falls in the rare category of sequel as good as the original,
All the way through the story, if the apes and humans just spoke to each other and were honest. Everything would have ended nicely and quicker
