I liked this book, but not as much as the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. Some of the main characters from that series do carry over into this new series. The story is based at Camp Half-Blood, but I wasn't as hooked into the plot as I was with the other series. That being said I will continue to read the forthcoming books in the series so I guess it wasn't that bad.

I enjoyed book one of the BDB series more than I thought I would. I have been asked so many times if I've read J.R. Ward's series? I can now say that I've read (and very much enjoyed) Dark Lover. I very much look forward to reading the rest of the series as well as Ward's Fallen Angels Series! :)

This 2 part mini series was pretty good well the first part is good but the second part seemed pushed. I felt like they wanted to make it into a 4 part mini series or another 2 part mini series. But seeing Patrick Swayze as Allan Quatermain is cool. I just wish they made more movies for this series.
