A great TV show
A great TV show, with a big cast. Looking at a small area of New York near Times Square and the many characters of the area.
Starting in the 70's and ending up in the mid 80's by the 3rd series. It takes in how porn, organised crime, police, technology all play a part in shaping the area and effect the lives of those involved.
Each series set at a slightly different era. The first 2 series were very good and the shorter 3rd series is OK. Well worth checking out for the wide array of characters caught up with life in The Deuce.

Good follow up series.
After the original @Save Me was one of the best TV shows back in 2018, everyone wanted to know if and when there would be a 2nd series. Well it's taken 2 years but here we are. A Father on a quest to rescue his daughter from child sex abusers. All the main cast are back again. It's still very interesting in reaching it's conclusion. Although not as intense or gripping as the first series. The last couple of episodes are a bit slow and some plot lines don't add much to the story. If you really want to see the conclusion of the 1st Series then definitely watch this.

He's back!
I was a big fan of the original series of Dexter having only got round to watching them in the last 2 years. Definitely a show you can binge. I was a little worried this new series 8 years later was going to leave a lot of unanswered questions from the end of the last series.
Thankfully the writing and plot are just as good as ever. All the questions you'll have from the last episode are explained in this series.
Set 10 years after he disappeared Dexter has a new identity in a small town, but will his dark passenger awaken again? Will his past catch up with him? Definitely one fans will enjoy.

Come listen to an amazing #playlist for the literary fiction series IF A BUTTERFLY by Michael Sirois on my blog. There's also a giveaway for a chance to win signed copies of both books in the IF A BUTTERFLY series!

**ABOUT THE SERIES**
Nine Characters + One Butterfly = Chaos Theory.

The series, If a Butterfly, is a bit like Six Degrees of Separation from Kevin Bacon (if Kevin just happened to be a butterfly). A Monarch butterfly, during its epic migration from Canada to Mexico, intersects the paths of a few people, and their lives and the lives of others are altered forever.

Balanced view of autism
Fantastic
I haven't seen Series 1. In fact I didn't realise there had been a prior series, so I watched this in isolation and I was none the wiser! This stood as a series on it's own. Now, I have no personal experience of autism so I don't know whether the portrayal is accurate but I found it really interesting. At the beginning the parents seem to have a solid marriage and appear to be coping well with their son's autism but as the series progresses you find out that all is not as it seems and at least one of them is struggling. This series could have sugar coated the affect of autism on a family but it didn't and that is to it's credit.
All the characters are memorable and I loved how their lives intertwined.

Book one is a great start to a wonderful, well orchestrated 4 part series
The book blurb says it all. Great adventure read. This is part of a series and although there are no cliffhangers, it still gives that 'what happens next' feel. Also, as a side note, for those of you that distaste book sets, this series seems more like one big book that has been broken up rather than several shorter novels with lot of filler chapters to extend the length like some 3 or 4 part series seem to do. Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you're me) all 4 books equals approximately 2,530 pages. And still, I was sad when it all ended... so I read the series twice (so far). It's that good.
