Book Divas (227 KP) rated Always Remembered in Books

I received an ARC when I signed up and was selected to host the book tour. I made no guarantee of a favorable review and the opinions expressed are solely my own.
I loved this final installment of the Never Forgotten series. The book picks up where the last one left off. This beautiful and well detailed story will leave you in its grip as the surprises just keep coming and we find ourselves dealing with many emotional moments throughout this book.. The relationship between Meara and Kieran continues to deepen and Evan learns the truth about himself. Kelly Risser did an amazing job in creating and weaving this mystical series and you will not be disappointed with how this story ends. Please note that all three books in the series must be read in order. Make sure that you add this entire series to your MUST read list and I look forward to reading more by this very creative author.

A disappointing continuation of the series
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, which I've been reading as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription, even if certain elements felt a little predictable.
The second book didn't have quite the same level of excitement and tension as the first, but was still enough to hook a reader and kept with "The Haunted" theme of the series.
With this third book, any "haunting" element has really been pushed into the background and I don't feel that the story is quite as compelling in this latest installment. I also read some reviews of the second book after I finished it, and one in particular mentioned the lack of variety in the swearing - and now that I'm aware of it, it REALLY started to bother me.
I know I'm going to go ahead and read the next book in the series, at least. Hopefully this will be return to the more exiting themes of the earlier books

Erika Kehlet (21 KP) rated Cracked to Death (A Webb's Glass Shop Mystery, #3) in Books

This is the third book in the Webbs Glass Shop mystery series. If you havent read the previous books in the series, dont worry. Youll be able to catch on to whos who and whats happening easily enough that you can jump right in at this point without feeling lost.
I love the glass-making theme of this cozy series. The process is fascinating, and you can almost see the work being done from the vivid descriptions in the book. Its not all about the glass, though, and luckily Savannah has a great group of friends and colleagues to help her out when things get ugly. With another death in town, she needs them to help her track down a killer. This was a great addition to a fun series.
NOTE: I was provided with a free copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I have to admit, I was really hesitant to pick up this book. That is one of the reasons it took me so long to finally read this. I fell in love with Cindy Gerard's Black Ops series and I was just not sure if I could make this new series work for me. Fortunately, I am really enjoying this series. "The Way Home" isn't as amazing as the Black Ops books but I think that is because I keep wanting that series back.
The characters are amazingly detailed and I love the emotion and the slight amount of angst that her characters have. The plot was definitely intriguing and it kept me truly entertained and on the edge of my seat while reading. The plot also worried me a little bit and broke me out of my (this is the way it should be) comfort zone.
This is a good book and I cannot wait to start on the next one.

Ross (3284 KP) rated The Keepers - Season 1 in TV

This was a decent, interesting yet harrowing series. It initially looked at the disappearance and then death of a young nun teacher, and another young woman within days if each other in 1960s Baltimore. Thereafter the story unfolded covering abuse in the catholic school, repressed memories and a cast of very unusual characters from the city, all of whom appear to have been involved.
While the series is interesting, and the stories being told are truly horrific, the series itself seems to get distracted and is at times all over the place. The first few episodes were quite focused, but the last 2 episodes were a frantic rush to close off aspects of the story, but a number of other avenues suddenly appeared out of nowhere, leading to quite a confusing, tiring conclusion.
One of these days there will be a true crime series on Netflix that ends with all questions answered.

I absolutely fell in love with this series from page 1! Incredible MC series that follows so many great characters where the guys are all just a bunch of big softies for their women. ;-) I love everyone in this group.. the brothers are tough, alpha bikers who would do anything to protect their women and families. The ladies have all gone through so much and are all so different but all such interesting characters each with crazy stories and pasts of their own.
I've said this in past reviews throughout this series but what I love the most about it is that it follows everyone.. one book does not just cover one character or couple, but you are able to follow along with everyone's story throughout. LOVE IT! I've laughed and cried, feeling so close to these characters and am so sad I've finally reached the end. CAN'T WAIT for more books in this series!! HIGHLY recommended!!

A great darker version of Sabrina!
Had me gripped from beginning of the series. Starting off as a half-mortal, half-witch, Sabrina must partake in a dark baptism. This is where her mortal side comes in, she doesn't want to lose Harvey or her friends and attend a new school so refuses to sign her name over to the dark lord. Cue a court case in the witching world and Sabrina with a mortal representative....what could go wrong?!
The series continues with it seems Sabrina leaning more to the darker side of her powers with the help of her 'school teacher'
I won't spoil the ending of the series but it is definitely worth watching. Having grown up with the Melissa Joan Hart version of Sabrina I thought I would of made more comparisons but this really does stand alone, the only similarities is obviously the names.
Really hoping I won't have to wait too long to watch the next series.

Zombie genius
First few series were great, storylines were good. Lots of suspense and characters with interesting back stories. This series offers great gore and horror along the way, they are also not frightened at killing off main characters even ones which the fans have come to love.
Negan was a breath of fresh air and even though he's a baddie he's funny and a character you come to like. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a great actor and brings good fun to the show.
The last couple of series however have become a bit boring and dragged out. There are a couple of standout episodes in them but otherwise I found them getting a bit boring and wonder if the show is coming to a close now on where to go. Would recommend to others still as the graphics and creative work on them is fantastic.
