Holy smokes!!

I thought the first in the series was good but Hunt has blown my socks off.
I always love a shifter romance and I wasn't disappointed.

With twists and surprises I was kept entertained from the first page to the last.....And it didn't hurt that there were two smoking hot guys and some even hotter loving going on.
I love the way the characters develop and how they interact with each other, it really helps to create a bigger more rounded picture that ensnares you.

Definitely an adult read, perfect with a cheeky drink and some decadent chocolate.

4 shiny stars!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

A magpie is hired to steal from a dragon's hoard. What could possibly go wrong??

Short! So very VERY short! That's my overwhelming thought on finishing this book, I wish it were longer.

It's told mostly from Chester, the magpie's point of view, but Michal, the dragon who hires Chester, gets some say, just not enough for my liking!

It's not overly complicated, nor is it explicit nor violent. It's well told, and well delivered. Some more could have been made of the feud between Michal and his brother James.

It was just too bloody short!

BUT!!!

I DID enjoy it, spending an hour sitting out in the sun on my day off. It's the first I've read of this author, but now she is firmly on my radar, my wish list is a little longer and hopefully I'll be able to read more soon.

Because I LIKED the way she tells her tales, and I LIKED that we get a magpie shifter, because I have never read a magpie shifter! And ya'll know I love them different!

So, because I found it too short ( I did NOT know it was a short going in!) and because I wanted more Michal...

4 shiny stars (because magpies love shiny things!)

UNLOCKED AND UNLOST is a standalone as far as I can tell, although I'm guessing there's a crossover somewhere because most of the side characters seem to have stories of their own that have already been told.

Kingston is a raccoon shifter locksmith who is laid up with a sprained ankle, caused by a client's young daughter. Ethan is the client's answer to helping Kingston out of a mess. Ethan is a squirrel shifter, complete with the hyperactivity you would expect. In their world, you don't recognise your fated mate unless you're shifted.

To be honest, I didn't really get them as a couple. Kingston couldn't cope with Ethan having 5 million tabs open in his brain (and neither could I!) and was quite rude about it in places. And Ethan? Well, it seemed as though he'd just be happy someone wanted him. There was a lot in his past with his father and grandmother, but I never really got to see much of it firsthand; it came as flashbacks or memories from Ethan most of the time.

Cute and lighthearted, I enjoyed this read but definitely wanted more.
