SHIFTER WOODS: CLAW is the fourth book in the Esposito County Shifters series, and this time we have a wolf shifter/human who has never shifted, and the Alpha of the Esposito Wolf Pack. Matt recognises Angela, or at least, she reminds him of someone but can't think of from when. As for Angela, she's just too busy trying to stay out of Bryce's abusive clutches.

Their relationship moves a little slowly as they both learn about each other, including just who Angela is. Once they get it on though, the steam is most definitely there!

Along with Bryce, you also get the ambitious she-wolf who wants the Alpha for herself. Angela deals with that with aplomb, as well as finding long-lost family and settling in with the Pack.

I enjoyed this story and feel like it is a coffee-break book. Anything by Nicola Cameron is guaranteed to be a good read and this is no exception. Definitely recommended by me.

SHIFTED REALITY is the first book in the Looking Glass Multiverse series and it had everything here that I like - wolf shifters, authors, BDSM - but somehow, this just didn't work for me.

The first half of the book concentrated mainly on Iris and Rogan - so much so that I had to re-read the blurb to remind myself just who this was supposed to be about. Angelique and Rogan don't even meet until approximately 55-60% of the way through the book, and then they pretty much shoot straight for the stars. Who needs to get to know anyone anyway?

My overall feeling when I finished the book was "Is that it?" Although well-written, the parts with Angelique and Rogan felt incredibly rushed and left me with loads of questions that just weren't answered.

Although the blurb of book two sounds good, as well as the epilogue in this book, I don't think I'll bother. I'm sure others will love this book and the series but it's just not for me.

OPENLY MINE is the second book in the Offbeat Shifters series, and we continue with the tiger and monkey mates. Now openly mated, Isaac and Jesse have a busy time ahead of them. Not only is there the Youth Centre to get sorted, but Jesse is recording a new album. Because these two are suckers for punishment, they also decide to move home and arrange a wedding too. Throw in some health complications, and you've got a story to lose yourself in.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. And, as wrong as this may sound, I loved the part where Isaac and Jesse are dealing with some news that has a strong impact on both of them. I found this to be sympathetically written, whilst remaining true to the story.

The pacing is smooth and the supporting characters are just as good as in book one. One thing is clear, Jesse has dreams to fulfil and Isaac will move heaven and earth to help.

A great addition to the series, and one I am happy to recommend.

Dark Highland Fire ( The MacInnes werewolves 2)
By Kendra Leigh Castle
⭐️⭐️

Gabriel MacInnes has led a charmed life. A Highland werewolf of Alpha lineage, he'd always thought that, as the second son, he would never have to worry much about responsibility. But with his Pack now squarely in the sights of an ancient and rediscovered enemy, everything has begun to change.

Exiled from the Drakkyn realm, on the run from the dragon prince who claims her as his own, the last thing Rowan an Morgaine wants is to deal with a bunch of overbearing shifters in the middle of nowhere. But when her hiding place on Earth is discovered, and with blood the only thing that can restore her waning power, the fiery demigoddess has little choice but to accept Gabriel as a protector ...

As the Earthly and Drakkyn realms converge, Gabriel and Rowan must decide how much they're willing to sacrifice for fate...and for one another.

I have to admit this was pretty below average for what I was expecting I enjoyed book one but this one kinda bored me I found my self rushing through hoping it would capture me but it didn’t. It was ok.
