A dragons Heart
By Terry Bolryder

A mate worth fighting for…

Tor and Perry are Dragon shifters, powerful protectors of their region and the people and shifters in it. With the world only getting more evil, Tor and Perry know there’s only one thing to do. Find a mate, one brave enough to be gifted with a third dragon power to join their triad. They just need to find someone brave. Too bad the only woman they seem to be interested in is their curvy secretary, a woman they found hiding under a desk…

Lexie knows she’s no hero. Always the first to run, she is just grateful the dragons found her when they did and rescued her from a bad situation. She’s fine just being their secretary, as it gives her a safe place while they try to track down the people that are still after her. Even if being around tall, dark and handsome Tor and graceful, elegant Perry is starting to do funny things to her lady bits.

As the three work together in close quarters, sparks fly between Lexie and her dragon employers, threatening to ignite into a blaze. But though they know they can’t be together, they can’t resist stoking the flames, and when trouble catches up, all three will have to decide just what they are willing to lose, and what’s really worth fighting for…

Ok so I’ve read a few of Terry Bolryders books now and they follow a pattern and are decent reads, after finishing the Tiger box set this was added to the end and I found myself getting emotional god knows if it’s just me but this story was one of the best! I absolutely loved the Tor! These books are fabulous for those that love the shifters!

FORBIDDEN MOON is the fourth book in the Gladstone Shifters series and you really need to read this as a series rather than a set of standalones.

Now, I've been waiting for Jonah's story, desperately needing the Omega to get his HEA but Luna (or maybe Mr Elliott) decided he wasn't going to have it easy - oh no! Instead, during a time when humans are threatening the pack with exposure and death, Luna decides to make his human mate known. There are a whole host of problems with a human/shifter mating, not the least of which is that RJ didn't have the first clue that shifters actually existed.

As with all these books, it's an emotional ride. I found myself welling up within the first 2%! RJ is a sweetheart who deserves all the good stuff, and that includes Jonah. Oh man, these two melted my heart.

The overall story arc is in full swing and I am LOVING how it all comes together. There is a huge character cast to this series so it definitely keeps you on your toes with just who is who and who they are mated to, if any. The pacing is perfect, giving you a plentiful mix of steam, action, and quiet times to get your breath back.

This series is a wonder - every book gives you something new. And it isn't over yet! Woot!!! I can't wait for this series to continue so I can lost in the lives of the Gladstone shifters once more.

Absolutely and utterly recommended!

Blackwood (Perth Shifters #1) by Pia Foxhall
Blackwood is the first book in the Perth Shifters series by Pia Foxhall. We jump straight into the action with Braden in trouble, in the middle of nowhere. He is rescued by Coll, who realises just what Braden has been through, and he tries his best to help him in the circumstances. Of course, it couldn't be that easy, so Braden's past is thrown into the mix, plus long distances.

What you get is an enthralling read that will keep you turning the pages. The story is fully fleshed out, with a multitude of other characters that I am hoping I hear from! There were no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading, and I thoroughly enjoyed every word.

This is the first in the series, so don't expect everything to be handed to you on a plate. Instead, look forward to the next installment, so you can get the full enjoyment. Absolutely recommended by me.

They call it Moon-Night. The night when the moon rises high in the sky, fully visible for all to see, is the time Humans venture outside in hopes of catching a glimpse of Others for their personal entertainment—shifters transformed, strange dark creatures, all answering the call of the moon. Yvette is a vampire who works in a bar owned by a panther shifter called Raven. It is one of the few bars in their community in which Others and Humans can mingle. Restless shifters, blood lusting vampires, supercilious Humans … the night is filled with them. But what happens when the doors close tonight? What long-buried evil awaits Yvette? A dark force will awaken—one that will change her life, and those of the people around her. Forever.

This was one of the best novellas yet! It was fast paced and interesting we finally have some decent vampire action! But wtf was that ending 🙈 I now need to hunt down the next book set!

The Supernatural live in secret among us

Vampires
Shifters
Demons
Mages

Governed by their own societies and laws, one in which Shifters and Vampires have been enemies for millennia

When a rogue Werewolf Shifter stumbles into Vampire territory she meets an ancient, powerful and mysterious Vampire King

Their attraction to one another is swift and undeniable, despite thousands of years of war and bloodshed between their people

When dark, malevolent forces threaten the fabric of what they could build together, they'll have to fight and fight hard for what it is they want

It will be dark
It will be violent
It will be bloody
But if they can stick together, they just might make it out alive

I really enjoyed this. It was a fun read with really likeable and unlikeable characters as well as a decent story. The main female character is sassy and funny and of course the brooding vampire is a strong male lead. Yea overall a good quick read. Ends on a cliffhanger though!

CLAIMED BY THE BEAR is the second book in the Mokoaroa Shifters series, and features Liam and Ava, childhood friends who went their separate ways when Liam became an Alpha Elite and Ava didn't know about shifters.

This story has a lot of potential, but it also needs a run-through by an editor. The flow is disjointed in places, with times changing in just a paragraph, sometimes from one day to another, and the continuity needs checking as one moment Liam packs Ava's swimsuit, and the next, she has to borrow one. The perspective also changed from first to third person within the same paragraph. And Gormack, Liam's uncle, became Gormuck on more than one occasion.

All this meant I couldn't lose myself in the story as I wanted, especially when there is a great supporting cast of characters I would love to hear more from. All in all, a good read with great potential.

I don't know if I just wasn't in the mood for shape shifters or if the story just bored me but either way I DNF'ed it at 53%.

It started alright but then I sort of lost interest in it. The really obvious spelling mistakes every so often didn't help either. I just couldn't connect with the story or the characters. Well I liked, Josie, the little girl. She just reminded me of my nieces.

Not for me.

Deadly Declaration (Shadow Veil Academy book 2)
By Heather Renee
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Some decisions aren't meant to be easy.

Raegan is back at Shadow Veil Academy, even though it's the last place she wants to be. Her heart is broken, but her rage is even more prominent as she learns just how little has been done to find Malina since she was last there.

When an unexpected visitor arrives at the school, Raegan turns to her dragon side as she searches for the answers she needs to move forward. All the while, thoughts of Enzo's betrayal are never far from her mind, but no matter his reasons, she's not sure she can ever trust him again.

Though, when unforeseen circumstances push them together, ready or not, Raegan has to decide which is more important: her heart or the chance to figure out just who she really is.

I’m a sucker for Dragon shifters. I really enjoyed this book. Took me a few chapters to settle back in but once I had I didn’t want to put it down. Seemed a little rushed at the end but it worked. Highly recommended if you like your Dragon shifters!

Blood and Ruin (Book 1)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Six years ago, my world was ripped from under me, and I was taken to Cardinal Three. A place where pain has been my endless companion.

Witches, demons, shifters and humans all live under one rule.

King's.

What he says goes.

So, trying to get the hell out of here hasn’t been easy.

No one leaves without his permission.

In fact, no one leaves at all...That is, alive.

But I have a plan.

One chance to get out of this nightmare once and for all.

One month is all I need.

One month to stay off King's radar and get the last few items needed for the spell I’ve been working on.

Shouldn’t be that hard...right?

But turns out King has his own plan. One that involves trading me off to the five shifters of Manhattan.

With King's ultimatum, I have no choice but to go through with it. But I’m still getting out of here, no matter what.

Or so I thought.

Turns out the five shifters are my mates…

And also, the boys I left behind six years ago.

Ok I’m not going to lie the first 10 chapters of this I actually kept rolling my eyes thinking it was going the same way many others in this genre go which is not a bad thing at all it’s just don’t think my mind was in the mood for it. BUT! Something said keep going and I did the last half of the book was just so good and maybe because I was a little distracted by what I thought would happen I just didn’t see it coming. Really good read in the end. I will say there are some pretty brutal things happening with the main MC so please check triggers.

A rhr and book 1 of shifter mates trilogy

Astrid is a fox shifter who finds herself fighting to claim her wolf mate from a black magic witch!

She becomes conflicted when her feelings for another fox shifter collide with her feelings for her wolf.

This is the second series of Crystals you I'm reading. They are shortish books and I tend to get them done in 24/48 hours.

I'm enjoying Crystal Ash Her books flow well and keep you interested. I'm left wanting not after this one I'm looking forward to seeing it develop. I like her use of different shifters. Her characters are interesting.
