packs a powerful punch, short as it is!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
This is a short (50 odd pages) introduction and scene setting for the Divergent Omegaverse series. It tells of Lane and Derick, married for 40 years, and their plans for their future.
It packs a powerful punch though, even as short as it is.
Lane is an omega who has an inner animal but cannot shift and is deemed second class to those who can shift. Derick loved Lane from the very beginning and together they built a fashion empire, fully inclusive and non prejudiced. They had 3 sons and adopted 5 more, making a family of other divergents, cast aside by society.
Lane and Derick now plan to retire, and they gather those 8 sons to tell them the news. Suffice to say, it doesn't go down very well!
Steamy and punchy, I loved this very brief glimpse into Lane and Derick and look forward to seeing what those two men have in store for their sons.
4 very VERY good stars

I definitely recommend listening to the audiobook version, as it's narrated by Le Carre himself. I really liked knowing the history behind the writer, and to see where a lot of his inspiration came from. It was broken up into a series of short stories/essays, which made it flow really well, in my opinion.

Hitchcock
Obvs before my time but, this classic thriller by on of the best directors to ever live doesn't fall short of suspense. For the 60's Hitchcock was world known for his suspense and thriller movies. Fun part is always finding his cameo in each movie. DId you spot him in this one.

Stars!
Another decent Resident Evil game set after the 2nd game. I played the Dreamcast version, which was a port of the PlayStation one. It introduces a few new elements to the game. It's a good game but a bit short compared to the others. If you love Resident Evil games you'll definitely like this.

This collection of short stories was alright. By far, my favorite was 'The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku'. While this is written for a younger audience, I didn't think it was a bad thing. 'High Noon on Jakku' was fairly good too, and I like reading more stories about Jakku.

short but sweet story. i enjoyed the dynamics of the characters.. i enjoyed the different type of shifters in one story.. that is always fun to see instead of only one specific shifter. i really enjoyed the love and it made me smile and laugh. amazing story and im glad i got to review it

I enjoyed this book. It was a short sweet read. The only thing I didn't like was it was wordy. Seemed like a lot of words to say one thing but other then that I liked it a lot. It was funny and loved the chemistry and the ending was a perfect way to end :)

i was so surprised i liked this novel. actually, it's three short stories. i almost didn't get it because it looked like it was geared toward love sick 14 year olds. but Taylor has a beautiful writing style and i liked that i could tell she was from the NW in the first few pages.
