Obsessed book reviews (49 KP) rated Hot to the Touch (Swinging Games, #15) in Books

A very short read but the romance in this story is fun and sexy. The characters are ok but you can't really get a feel for them because it's so short. If you enjoy a story about swingers and have quick 20 minutes then give this a go.

This short story can be downloaded for free from Reilly's website and it's well worth doing. This is typical Reilly condensed into a short story. All the standard thrills are here: mystery, traps, chases and incredible escapes. All at the usual high speed and full throttle.
There really isn't anyone who does blockbuster action thrillers better.

I thought that this short story was beautiful and very very sad. A story of how love and life can be destroyed due to false accusations and a lack of communication between two lovers.

It's a short story, and a decent one. It's obviously written for a younger audience, so it's nothing too special, but it's good.

This book was very short - I read it in 1 day.
I prefer books to be a bit longer - it wasn't really long to even get into.
It's a crime genre which I love but it was too short to real be much of a crime book that I would normally read.
Giving a review on a short story is not easy as I didn't see the characters grow and story didn't really go anywhere.
I wouldn't read the second book in series.
I would recommend to someone who losses interest quickly or doesn't like reading a long book.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.

A little too short
I'm all for a Stephen King short story/novella and as this goes this is a very good story, it's just far too short. The fact that this has been released as a separate book in it's own right is rather astounding. Not because it's not an enjoyable story, as it is, but because it doesn't even reach 130 pages. And these are very large type face, spread out pages with lots of pages of (admittedly beautiful) illustrations.
I'm guessing the illustrations are the reason why this was released on it's own, and these are some stunning illustrations, but I don't necessarily think they justify releasing this as a sole book. Despite this though, it is still a well structured and written and overall entertaining short story.

I felt this book started off really strong with a great first short story but seemed to be very hit and miss from there. The Law and Order SVU themed short was entirely too long and pointless and I couldn't help myself from skipping through most of it after only a few seasons.
