A very good film about the life of Johnny Cash
A great biopic that follows the life and career of Johnny Cash. It follows the singer from his early life growing up in Arkansas until his famous performance at Folsom prison. Brilliant lead performances from Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter make this movie a good watch for anyone, even if your not a big fan of Johnny Cash.

I’d highly recommend!

""Nevermind"' by Nirvana was one of the first albums I distinctly remember buying, and I bought it purely on the basis of the cover. It was the first record I had a true connection to, I had it on day in day out and eventually my dad asked if I’d like a guitar so I could learn to play it. I learnt it from start to finish and from that moment I wanted to be a singer in a rock band.'"

"Lately, I’ve gotten really into her. I know a lot of people who like her, but it tends to be girls and…I’m not one to reinforce gender stereotypes, and I think it’s important to listen to female singer-songwriters next to your Slayer and Descendents. Begin To Hope has had some big pop hits, like “Fidelity”. I know people who can’t get down with the lyrics, and she does quirky things with her voice. But it’s a great album."

Book Favorite

"Moore is completely unsentimental but able to stir enormous feelings in the reader, or, certainly, in me. Her style is so original: The way this book is structured, the narrative is like an anagram. It begins with Benna, a singer, and her neighbor Gerard. The characters in each succeeding chapter have the same names, but they're different people. In one, she's a schoolteacher and he's a graduate student. I've never read a book where the identity is the same but always changing."
