"Every spring, the three younger Makioka sisters don their finest kimonos to stroll beneath the cherry blossoms at Kyoto, a ceremony that seems to encapsulate the ritualized elegance of their lives and their deep bonds of affection, both of which are threatened by the family’s declining fortunes and a Japan that is swiftly changing on the eve of World War II."

"When Nicky is no longer able to care for her husband Adam and their child, her all-too-willing younger sister, Chloe, steps into the shoes of wife and mother. But when Adam is murdered, the sisters are reunited and must confront their shared past. This super twisty thriller is completely satisfying and unputdownable. It checks all of the boxes."

Two estranged sisters, Ester and Anna, and Anna's 10-year-old son travel to the Central European...

This is fourth of the series and I loved it every much. This book deals with Sinclair's sister father and Willow. Mrs. Hattie is also involved as well. The sisters all face different things in the book.

You learn about Ida and Tucker Raines a bit about them. You lean about each of the Sinclair sisters or about their family. This book is mostly about Harlan Sinclair and Mrs. Hattie, mostly about Willow Peterson as well. Tucker's sister.

The book is about two widows and a second chance at love. There are other surprises though out the book. I really enjoyed this book along the with the series. Now understand that I have yet to read the first two books in this series. I read and own the last two books. Those books are called "The Bride That Wore Blue", "Twice the Bride".

In this book these two sisters go on a great adventure with the bucket list that was given to Megan by her donor. They reconnect after years being disconnected with each other due to regrets and misunderstandings. They both learn about each other and themselves in this journey running into new people and old friends. This book was a great reminder who is in charge of my life. I sometimes struggle with control, trust, and worry with my family, job, and relationships. I am constantly wondering what could go wrong or did I make the right decision. I sometimes forget like the sisters do in this book who is in charge which is God. Sometimes we get so wrapped up trying to take control of our lives we forget He may have a better plan for us.

Silence of the Lamps is book #5 in the Caprice De Luca mystery series, and while previous cases are mentioned, you do not need to have read the earlier books in the series to enjoy this one. The interaction between Caprice and her sisters is so realistic you almost feel like part of the family while reading the story. And when one of her sisters is the prime suspect in a murder investigation, how can Caprice stay out of it? The more she asks around, the more she finds that her sister Nikki was far from Drew’s only enemy. With lots of clues to keep you guessing at the identity of the murderer, this was a fast paced, fun read.

NOTE: I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts / opinions are my own.
