I LOVED this book.
Nicknamed Bluet due to her blue skin, Cussy Mary has been an outcast her whole life. Deep in Kentucky, Blue skinned people are looked down upon as tainted, unholy, second class citizens. Now 19, her coal mining father wants nothing more for her than to settle down with a husband and have a family like a decent woman should but she has found her place - as a Book Woman, riding the trails delivering books to the Hill folk, who can't or won't get an education otherwise. Through the books and magazines she delivers she is making a difference in the lives of her patrons, and they are making a difference in hers, giving her a sense of pride an income, and a community. But not everyone is accepting of her as a Blue, and she is increasingly more threatened by the local Preacher, who is determined to "save" her.

A beautiful game with lackluster rewards
I loved spending hours in this game watching the scenery from horseback, waiting for the virtual animal I was hunting to show up, and discovering new and fascinating places. It carried the game well for a while, but once I finished the main plot, there wasn't much else that held my attention. I completed the master hunter challenges to get a different holster skin? Seems a bit weak to entice people to try to complete challenges. When you can buy some of the more impressive game items in the shops; holsters, belts, and jackets are just a weak enticement at best.
Rockstar usually does a good job of balancing the purchasable items from the earned items in games, but this one seemed an afterthought. If this was better, it would have been the best game I'd ever played.

Characters (2 more)
Bizarrely normal
Theme tune
It’s Big Love from me
Big Love straddles the bizarre and the normal in a way that only they could. You will find yourself finding a favourite wife, (personally I can’t stand Margene- she’s too chirpy)
The cast put in stellar performances which make you feel like their just a normal family.
I love the theme tune and the opening sequence, it’s one of the most onpoint tv openers ever and it beautifully foreshadows things to come.
You will end up falling in love with this crazy, quirky little world.
This has been my choice of tv bingeing for the past few weeks and I had forgotten just how good this show is, it makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes your skin crawl and it will bring out your inner judge and if you are anything like me you will begin googling polygamy because you will want to know if Big Love is real or just a fanciful tale

An Anthology to die for!
A woman is working at a Gas Station alone when a Serial Killer is on the loose. A balding man goes to extreme lengths to grow his locks. A man has an Eye Transplant... but whose Eye did he get? Skin crawling tales all directed and introduced by a (dead) John Carpenter. Tobe Hooper as a Co-Director. It's a Horror fans wet dream... and best (yes, best) nightmare!
Oh. My. Days... This Anthology is absolutely amazing! I loved every story (each one had a fantastic twist), I adored the John Carpenter moments (his moments were actually my favourite part of the Anthology) and there are some Horror-glitterati cast members who are just the Cherry on top of an ass-kicking, scream inducing Cake. It really captures the wierd and wonderful of Horror and it's one of the best Anthologies I've ever seen. I just wish it would get a decent UK release... so I could watch it everyday!!

This is the final book for the trilogy of The Folk of the Air series.
I adored this book, and struggled to put it down; the culmination of a very fast paced series that delivers.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who preferred Arya's story arc in Game of Thrones but with more magic, intrigue, and scheming oh so many schemes.
Holly has built a beautiful world, that is absolutely intoxicating, and I will honestly ache for more to come from this series.
I also appreciate this book so much for the strong female characters, there were some really subtle and nuanced details that I don't believe a male writer could portray, or even think of.
It is vulnerable in a way that I think most will relate to, and might get under your skin 😉but it is not overwhelming or over the top, in fact it is extremely well balanced overall.
Please go and enjoy for yourself ☺

My wife wanted to see this, because she loves Lucy Hale. Having seen parts of it from working in a movie theater, I knew it wasn't goin to be great, but I decided to bite the bullet and rent it.
I'm glad I used the points I accrued from my Redbox rentals instead of spending actual money to see it. It was exactly what I expected, a movie about young, attractive, and utterly milquetoast characters bumbling from scene to scene and a marginally interesting hook for why the bad thing is out to get them.
The acting is fine, and it's not terrible visually, but this movie lacks any kind of soul. Just your basic Friday night junk food horror flick. And don't get me wrong, I love junk food. But it's the difference between potato skins from TGIFridays and those terrible TGIFridays potat skin flavored chips.
Of course, my wife loved it.
