This movie stars Gina Rodriguez aka Jane the virgin as Jill, a young mum who also seems to be a prescription drug dealer!?! Anyway, one day after work Jill gets into a car crash with her kids in the car, at the same time as a power cut. When she goes to the hospital, patients who were in a coma start waking up and staff are busy wondering what's happening. It is soon evident that the world is unable to sleep except for Jill's daughter matilda. They need to find a way to be able to sleep before everyone turns crazy and matilda is the key.
This film really confused me, I thought the whole being awake thing had happened during the power cut, but the way people were behaving it was like they'd been that way for a while. Jill mentions she had only been awake for 4 days, so was everyone effected at different times? How long has it been going on? Nothing made sense and I lost interest quickly. I watched to the end to see if all these answers became clear, but they didn't. That's an hour and thirty five minutes of my life I never getting back.

So I received this book because I thought it the idea behind it was interesting. I mean the girl voices her sex dreams about her neighbor in her her sleep, and he can hear all of it. I actually thought this would be a great erotic novel.
Alas, I was bored to tears. The characters were obnoxious and everything that could remotely be considered interesting happened within the first 50 pages. After a certain point, I literally could not force myself to read on. I skimmed the rest of the book and realized that nothing interesting happens. No loss.

Online Cards Against Humanity
Easy to get a game together. As you play you open up more and more cards and decks to play with. Nice way to pass an evening with friends both in the room and far from home.
A quick story: We had family in town. One of the nephews suggested we play Evil Apples. By the end of the night we had eight people playing in three different states. It was such a good family moment... based around horribly funny cards, thoughts and visual images that made some of us sleep badly - LOL.
Good job Evil Apples.

What can I say but this is yet another win for Melissa Pearl?!? She is honestly one of my favorite authors, and I have yet to read of book of hers where a) it didn't warrant far more than 5 stars, and b) I didn't contemplate forgoing work/sleep/etc to keep reading! Now, we have a tag-team authorship in the works, and I have to say it's been great so far!
Kudos to a bright start to what will definitely be another wonderful series, and I'm already anxiously awaiting these girls' next adventure. =D
