As always Gladwell manages to intrigue.

Rather than his usual social commentary, this book looks at the personalities that shaped the way airplanes in war have been used. For a topic I'm not overly interested in I was hooked.

This was an amazing world building as well as a social commentary. This book truely was a pleasure to read. The characters and the way the relationships develops was a nice slow burn. A very enjoyable and though provoking read.

I am not sorry that I bothered to watch Sorry to Bother You. All I can say is saddle up for a very entertaining piece of social commentary. I can lead you to the movies, but I can't make you watch them.

A film thoroughly deserving of its Oscar success. A brilliantly original and clever slice of satire and social commentary. It’s got many twists in its tail and certainly doesn’t end how you would expect. One you will certainly be thinking about for days afterwards.

"I think Peter Sellers’ performance in that just really knocked me out — what you can do with character. I think Hal Ashby just embraced that naturalistic and really deep performance and took it to the next level, so it became this almost remarkable piece of surrealist social commentary."

While his inspirations for the film are evident, Jordan Peele was able to craft a film that feels original. The story bends, twists, and turns, but you never get the impression that it doesn't know where it's going.

"I love Renoir’s films for the great storytelling in which he always incorporates social commentary. My favorite scene is between Captain de Boeldieu (Pierre Fresnay) and Captain von Rauffenstein (Erich von Stroheim) as they discuss the gentleman’s code of gentlemen’s honor, and how their time as the elite class is passing."
