Are you a person would would like to see what an wagon trail is like. Learn about it some what. Well you get glimpses of it though the accidental guardian. You can see what it like to be a survivor of a wagon train.

We find out about Tracy Riley and some of his past. He has to protect not only woman but also two children. They are survivors of the wagon train. We seem to be following more of Deb's story rather then her little sister Gwen and the children. Though maybe in the second book we learn more about the children and Gwen story.

Deb is adventurous and Trace and seem interested in Tracy from the beginning. Trace put Deb in his bed that first night. Is there romance between them or not?

At first glance, The Summer Job is a light, easy romance, but as I read further I realised there are some real issues in amongst the humour and the “will she or won’t she get caught”.

Elizabeth “Birdy” Finch decides to pretend to be her best friend, Heather Jones, a respected sommelier. I mean, how difficult can it be?! Birdy drinks wine! But as she begins to settle in to the hotel’s restaurant, she realises how much she likes everyone, and really wants to do well for them.

I loved this. It made me laugh, gasp out loud, and I wished that I could give Birdy a good talking to! It amazed me that she could keep up the charade and get herself out of some pretty awkward situations.
It’s a great summer read!

This is the final enstallment of MC Beaton's The Travelling Matchmaker series which sees former housekeeper Hannah Pym come into posession of a fortune of £5,000 and decide to fulfil her dream of travelling around the country on the Stagecoach - the 'Flying Machines'. Of course as there has been a through-story across the six books, this has to wrap a few things up, as well as having some romance for the eponymous Yvonne.

This has been a great, really entertaining series - the sort of thing PG Wodehouse would have written had he decided to pen a Regency romance! The baddies are almost comically bad and always get their comeuppance, and the good are suitable rewarded in the romantic stakes!

I loved all six book, although I think I might have to give the penultimate book as my favourite, but probably only because I share a name with the heroine!

Justice Calling - 3 stars - 1st April

I wasn't too impressed with this first book. Not much happened apart from one curse that was affecting a handful of shifters and finding out about Jade's past with Samir, who I'm assuming will make an appearance at some point in the series. As for the romance with Alek, I wasn't really feeling it but that might change as the series progresses.

Murder of Crows - 3 stars - 3rd April

As with the first book not all that much happened and I'm still not 100% into this series, probably not even 50%. I think it's been 3 three months since the events of the last book and she's been spending most of that in Alek's bed but I'm still not feeling the romance in this either.

I don't think I'll be continuing the series

A 17-year-old girl suffers from a condition that prevents her from being out in the sunlight.

I was left a wreck after watching this. It's totally unbelievable and sickly sweet, but who care about that? As with everything, I would guess that some creative license was taken with XP and how it affects those that have it. But I'd also imagine that the emotions expressed in the film are nearer the mark.

The first half of the movie passed by as another teen romance with a twist, but it wasn't until the sunrise scene that I really felt this movie.

Up until that point in the movie it was funny and uplifting. It's a wonderful romance, even though as I mentioned, completely far fetched. But that's why we go to these sorts of movies isn't it? Why would we want the every day?

Great romance movie
Movie is about strong first love between two teenagers. Not your cup of tea? Don't watch it just to cry how bad it is, because it is actually good. In this movie, Bella, who seems to be an introvert, moves to a new school. She is supposed to feel and act awkward because everything is new to her, and Kristen did an amazing job. Edwards being abusive as some people complain, well...a person who feels strong emotions for another and at the same time wants to protect that person from himself, no one would be rational at that point. Remember when you were madly in love, how did you act? Add to that the fact that Edward is a vampire, a killing machine. Great movie about true love of two teenagers and how they overcome problems and their differences.

some very funny moments
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 2 in the Deputy Gemma Stone series. I have not read book one, but I picked this one up quick enough. So I'd say it can be read as a stand alone.

And for the most part, I did enjoy this short read, some 130 pages, I really did.

I just found the fact that Gemma got into so many scrapes and bumps, accidents and getting shot at, it all became a bit too much. FOR ME! I need to stress that, for me, I found it a bit too much in the short space of time it took me to read this book.

There is some kooky going on inthe Sheriff's department, and Gemma, along with her new boyfriend, need to figure it out, especially as it might have some relation to Dante's parent's deaths. And they do, eventually.

Some very funny moments, that really were laugh out loud bits and I think these are what made me give it 4 stars and not 3. It's full of drama, but not real angst. Low on the steam scale too. But I didn't mind that here.

I'm not usually one for comedy in my romance books, but I did enjoy this one. Whether I read more, will remain to be seen, though.

An enjoyable, 4 star read

Dragon Mist is a tale set in the time of the Summer of Love in San Francisco. It doesn't stay there though, as the Lady Dragon goes back home.

This is a very different take on dragons, or drache, as they are known in here. There is a big group of characters, both main and supporting, who help the story to move along. Some of the characters you will like, some you won't. The characters stay the same throughout, so no worries about a friend becoming an enemy. The closest you get is someone who she was friendly with.

The story is mainly comprised of Chrissie's 'courting' of James as a potential mate, but you also get her recent past catching up with her, rejected suitors, possible blackmail, and the like.

Although this is described as a paranormal romance, I found the romance to be slightly lacking. There was no connection between Chrissie and James to be seen, just what we are told.

All in all, this was an enjoyable read set in a different time.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Sounds like an interesting book. I've been getting into stories involving dragons lately and this sounds like a good one.
