It's been a good few months since I last read a MM Romance, so I have my fingers crossed that I really enjoy this one.

This one starts with Ace admiring a billboard for what must be the hundredth time of a guy he fantasises about every night, stopping traffic in the process as he heads off to the reading of his new film. It just so happens that the guy from the billboard is sitting in on the reading and is going to have a part in the film. There is an instant attraction between the two and though Ace tries to fight it, he can't help but be drawn to the confident Dylan.

What follows is some hot man on man action and a cute romance between the recently out-of-the-closet-but-too-afraid-to-find-anyone actor and the confident model who's trying his hand at acting. They are pretty perfect for each other.

But Ace is wary of trying to find someone when he's so publically in the spotlight as he knows they'll be hounded by the press and every dirty secret they may have will be aired to the world. And since this is a series, of course that very thing happens right before the book ends, so I'm intrigued about future books but I'm not in a hurry to go and buy it.

We get alternating viewpoints in this, which admittedly gets a little confusing at times with them both being men and trying to remember whose VP you've just read

INCEPTIO is the first book in the Carina Mitela Adventure series and we start off in the EUS (Eastern United States). The world isn't the same as we know it, with different countries, rules, and regulations. In the middle of this is Karen Brown, an unassuming name for an unassuming young woman whose life is about to change.

Some of it is fairly formulaic - bad government people, new life, new wealth, new status. It's something that has been done before. However, I enjoyed this one, I really did. Everything comes easy to Karen/Carina - whether it is the Latin language (which is NOT easy, trust me), or specialised self-defence. She can be quite mouthy but no one seems to have a problem with that. I'm glad this isn't listed as a romance because it isn't. In fact, the romance side almost seems to be just a page-filler as I didn't really feel much of a connection between any of them.

This book has plenty of action, told from Karen and Jeremy's perspectives only. From drugs being brought into Roma Nova, to escaped prisoners, to finding a mole, it's all going on and Carina is right in the thick of it.

I enjoyed this story and would definitely read more in this series. Recommended by me.

An intense, slow-burn romance with a dash of suspense that is absolutely brilliant!
FROZEN FLOWERS FALLEN is the first book in the Gen-Heirs World: Bella and the Beast Master series. It's a quick read that takes you back to Sziveria where Gen-talents are held so highly.

Now, I'm warning you now, I have loved The Guardians of Sziveria series so this review is probably biased! What can I say? You've already seen it's got 5-stars!

Bella is a clerk with no apparent Gen-talent, thus making her invisible and beneath notice to some of the Guardians around. However, Bella has a brain and isn't afraid to use it - so long as it doesn't put her in the spotlight. When Markus shows up, he is intrigued by this clerk who has put together more of a case than the Guardians he is supposed to be working with.

What follows is an intense, slow-burn romance with a dash of suspense, with the main two characters jumping off the page but fully supported by the other characters. The ending is superb but will definitely leave you wanting more.

I honestly can't wait to continue this series. What an absolutely cracking start! I need more of Bella, Markus, and Lunah in my life. HIGHLY recommended by me.
