BookCritics (259 KP) rated Mrs. Saint and the Defectives in Books
Aug 2, 2017
There are so many great life lessons here and Mrs. Saint with her wisdom and guidance teaches most of them. Family isn’t always about being blood related and sometimes bonds can be formed quickly and when you least expect it.

Not exactly brutal
I liked this film, liked the director, and the acting was well done, just got annoyed how the main character walked and held his arms like he just finished working out. Not really that brutal , most action scenes are not shown and you arrive at the violence once it’s over. Very good worth a watch.

Awesome
Absolutely love this game, have completed it 4,5,6,7 times and still amazed at it. Survival, adventure, exploration, resource gathering and sometimes a horror game this game has it all !!! graphics are good for an alien planet but the underwater at night is mesmerising. Would suggest giving it a play even if the start is a little slow

Not bad at all horror that somehow made it under the radar and shamefully never got a cinema release.
It's very much in the vain of "The Wicker Man" but in my opinion it's superior, with a story filled with dread and genuine shocks that sometimes make it a difficult watch, stick with it though and you are rewarded with a decent addition to the horror genre.

Sometimes slow
What the hell am I watching?
I expected it to be weird because it's directed by Guillermo Del Toro but I was still surprised at how weird it is.
An amphibian man is something of general fantasy, but a mute cleaning lady who falls in love with the amphibian man is obscure.
However it does have a structured storyline, and brilliant cinematography.

A cinematic masterpiece of dark dingy intelligence
I love this movie even if it's hard to watch sometimes. I first saw it in the theater still drunk from the night before and my mind was blown in a very unforgettable way. But upon many sober repeated viewings it's still a brilliant film.

Storytelling in the Raw
The Director, Peter Berg, has always done his due diligence in providing the most accurate means of storytelling when it comes to films based on real events, however harsh or offensive they might be. Patriots Day can fill you with anger, sadness, joy or hope, sometimes all at once, which is precisely the task of the director and crew....feeling.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2585 KP) rated Oh Danny Boy (Molly Murphy Mysteries, #5) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Molly's sometimes boyfriend Daniel is arrested for police corruption, which is crazy despite the evidence against him. Molly, naturally, tries to clear his name. This book is great for characters development of both Molly and Daniel not to mention a great mystery.
