Barely a Plot
Predictable - Typical Seagal and Austin Movie
While I always expect a Steven Seagal movie to be a showcase for his fighting skills, they usually have a bit of a plot, sometimes even a good one. Unfortunately this one doesn't. If you are only looking for a movie that contains fighting and shooting and don't care about plot or dialog then you might like this one. If you are looking for more - skip this movie and watch one of his others.

Extremely detailed account of the origins of one of the most famous diamonds and why there is so much contention (0 more)
Sometimes too much detail makes you lose track (0 more)
Dalrymple's no holding back factual account
This was the missing piece of the puzzle in terms of attempting to find out the truth behind the Kohi-Noor diamond. Absolutely no frills account on how the diamond left in its path so much wanton death and destruction. William Dalrymple as always - a detailed historian putting forward the facts. Fascinating and both historically and currently important.

[Dystopia] by [Janet McNulty] is a modern version of [1984] and example of when good intentions get caught up in greed and people are too lazy to care. The characters were very well developed as well as their relationships. The whole idea struck me as what people in the old Soviet Union must have felt like. (I am a history nerd.) I feel the message is that no matter what if people are apathetic they will lose what means the most to them and sometimes standing up for what is right can be really hard.

Now I have that Rolling Stones song stuck in my head...
I loved this story. It really wasn't scary at all, but it had a good paranormal fantasy aspect to it, with a little murder mystery and promises of revenge. It kept me interested until the end, which was ALMOST satisfying. The book made me laugh, made me angry, and made me sad sometimes. I only realized after I finished that the author is actually Stephen King's son. I love Stephen King's stories. His son has a gift of his own though.

Upon my first introduction to the show, I was not impressed. The story in the first two episodes moved rather slow for my taste. Fast forward a couple months and I'm home sick for two days when HBO was gearing up for season four. I gave it another chance and never looked back! This show will thrill, chill, and, sometimes, kill you! It provides more action than many blockbuster movies and has a terrific storyline that will leave you anxious for Sundays and dreading the long break between seasons.

Andy K (10823 KP) created a post in Movies are the shiz!

I love recommending movies to people. One of my favorite things to do. Back in the days of managing video stores, people would come in and ask me what to watch. They would then come in a few days later and thank me for recommending good movies to them. It was very rewarding.

Sometimes, people would give you add choices, though, and it made me laugh.

One time this lady brought these two up to me and said "which one of these is better?"

Can you believe the choice? :)
