I can see why people like this movie, but I just couldn't enjoy it. I got the humour and the message, but it made me extremely cringy and uncomfortable the entire time, especially knowing the cause of Robin Williams's death.

Apart from this, it was an interesting aspect, taking into consideration how suicide affects other people, and how sometimes a lie can help people heal, because they can relate to somebody's pain. Is it worth though, creating this fake impression of a person nobody really knew, just to be able to deliver a message. And how selfless or selfish the intentions really were?

"Like a lot of my most recent reads, I found a copy of this in my local Underground station book swap/donation area. It's a very moving and insightful, disturbing and sometimes humorous account of Ben coming to terms with a rare illness, a massive change to his life, and the seemingly unending search for clarity about his condition, and an improvement in his health. It is gripping from the first page, and barely touches on his music career, focusing much more on family and his experiences with the NHS. I’ve not read anything else quite like it."

This is my first classic science fiction read, and I'm just confused. I am not sure whether that confusion will dissipate when I absorb the story over time, or whether I'm just going to stay confused! This story did not go in the direction i expected at all, and though that's not a bar thing by any means, it's frustrated me, as I kind of feel disoriented by where we got to. Saying all this, sometimes you read something and you understand is greatness, but you just don't think it works for you, or maybe I'm just a bit slow in understanding.
