Days Gone

The story starts off interesting and I do like Sam Witwer as Deacon. He does a great job with the voice acting for him. The combat is fun and brings some intense fights. Traveling in the open world of Oregon is cool and there's some very pretty vistas while riding on the motorcycle. Sometimes the inventory controls feel very clunky, but I made it work. The accessibility isn't bad and I appreciated that they included that. Some of the side missions felt a bit tedious and I wish I could have learned more about certain characters in the different camps. There are two chapters that I feel could have been cut from the game because they didn't really offer a lot to the main story. I did have fun playing the game and it's not bad, but it definitely could have been better in places. you can read the full Mothergamer review here: http://mg28-mothergamer.blogspot.com/2021/08/mothergamer-plays-days-gone.html

Blazing Minds (92 KP) rated Host (2020) in Movies

Host (2020)
Host (2020)
2020 | Horror
We’ve seen films before that takes us into the world of social media such as Friend Request, but with HOST we are taken into the world of horror via the paranormal horror of a séance and let’s face it in all the films we’ve seen where these things take place they aren’t going to go well.

HOST starts with everyone logging in one by one on Zoom and catching up with each other about how they are doing during the lockdown with them having fun chats with filters, talking about others before they log in ready for the night of some scary stuff.

If you have ever been on a seance or a ghost hunt, which believe me can send chills down your spine, will now that sometimes there is always one that has to try to wind everyone up and it’s not good to mess with the spirits, but when Jemma pulls a prank about the schoolboy it’s time to get the spook on!

Is there a better example of a film that's so shit but so great at the same time than Anaconda? I would argue that there is not. Something bad about Anaconda - Ice Cube making "your mum" jokes. Something good about Anaconda - Ice Cube making "your mum" jokes. Something bad - Jon Voights dodgy Paraguay accent. Something good - Jon Voights dodgy Paraguay accent...you see where I'm going with this. Everything that makes this movie shit also adds to its weird brand of 90s monster movie charm, right down to the snakes facial expressions sometimes being disturbingly human. I'm also a fan of how Johnathan Hydes character goes from being the token pampered rich dude who is uncomfortable in a jungle/safari setting and has a silly amount of suitcases (there's always one of those fuckers in these kind of films) to the only one who I wanted to survive. Character growth right there.
God bless Anaconda for being so entertainingly shite 🖤
