Before I start, just wanna point out that because of this show, to me every bad thing is now diabolical and said like karl urban...

Season 1 has come and gone and what a season it was, Karl Urban plays a badass anti hero-loving crusader of sorts whose probably in need of some anger management who reunites with his old team who seemingly left their friendship a little salty to say the least.

After managing to capture a "Hero" and a member of the 7 (team of hero's), butcher (urban) is after answers as to what happened to his missing wife 8 year's ago after she was sexually assaulted by another hero and the leader of the 7!
Things take a humorous, dark and violent twist with every move.
In a world where Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets.

Based on the comic book series of the same name

This book kept me gripped and made me smile (0 more)

I usually read these types of books so was looking forward to it.
I enjoyed the romance in this book and the different stories of the other people involved. You got the full story - past and present. It wasn't hard to keep track of the past and present which can sometimes be the case. I think this was because the story was told in a story.
It took my about a couple of chapters to get into the book but once I did I was hooked. I couldn't put it down.
I was happy when reading the book and I fell in love with the characters. It gave me a good feeling.
The story stated the characters would grow and the author made sure this happened. I got to watch and feel the characters change, mature and grow.
I don't feel the book was aimed at a specific age. When I first started reading I thought it may of been for an older audience but as I read on I don't feel like this anymore. Anyone can read and love this book like I did.
The descriptions of Italy in the book made me want to visit. It sounded so serene and was described so well and in great deal. You can just see the place as your read the book.
The book exceeded the blurb. The blurb caught my attention but the book had me gripped.

I listened to the audio of this memoir from the former First Lady of the USA and it was beautifully narrated by the author. There is something special about listening to a memoir as read by the person who experienced it, it makes it a very personal experience. I was sucked into the life of Michelle and was moved by her highs and lows.

Taking us from her humble beginnings right through to the last days at the White House we get a very big picture of the life of Michelle. On the whole I found it interesting and at some points very moving (Ok I admit it I cried.) It was great to get an insight into worlds I know little about and she comes across as a very motivated and determined lady.

I loved they way she told various anecdotes from throughout her life but especially of her experiences in the White House. Considering some of the level of detail in her earlier life I was a little disappointed not to get more on the White House years we seemed to go through several with little coverage, which considering it wasn’t a short book seemed a little lopsided.

I did find myself losing focus sometimes but I have little interest in experiences around raising children and a few other areas that just didn’t come to life for me. All in all a worthwhile if lengthy listen that Michelle makes memorable.
