I am not quite sure how to go about this review. On one hand, the world was so intricate and detailed that, at time, I felt lost. There is a lot going on, and if you blink, you too will become lost. If you take the time to actually read and take in each word, you are rewarded with a rich world as well as mythology. Sometimes, the detailed flowery prose can be too much, and sometimes it’s just right.

It’s hard explain this novel without giving anything away. If the description sounds like something that would interest you, then I suggest you try it out.

2 friends challenge each other to watch movies and discuss them later. Sometimes they are good movies sometimes they are bad. some real life discussions and some toungue in cheeck asides. first time trying a podcast, they are working to perfect their art. If you are a fan of movies they make some pretty good suggestions. starting with episode one featuring The Princess Bride and Jaws. here's the first episode on ITunes! https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-1-part-1-the-princess-bride/id1398174609?i=1000413627448&mt=2

In addition to being able to review a TV season as a whole, I think being able to review individual episodes would be good. I used to use a review app which did this, and it's the only thing I miss in Smashbomb. Sometimes an episode is outstanding, sometimes it's just awful, and you may want to review it or discuss it with others the day after the episode aired live on TV, or the day after you streamed it online, without having to wait for the end of the season to review the season as a whole. Just a thought, not sure how feasible/practical this is.

I like them, but they are often repetitive.

I like your idea about the episodes though. Some seasons/series I would rate poorly but individual episodes are great. Or vice versa.

Hi Lee - thanks for the suggestion.

We actually assessed this when we added the TV category and it was decided that adding individual shows would be extremely hard to manage at this stage.

We have it in mind still though for when the site grows further and we have more people power!

Keep them coming ?

I cried so much while reading this; sometimes the silent ones, sometimes the snotty nose, blotchy faced unpretty ones. It hit me pretty hard but I loved it so much.

The story starts with a bang, one that I wasn't expecting and one that had pretty severe consequences for Ella. It's got such a serious plotline but it was pretty romantic too. I loved our main characters, mainly Cinder because he was determined to stick with Ella but Ella had a lot more to deal with and wasn't sure how to do it.

This is my second book by the author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Movie Favorite

"A Married Couple is the first Allan King movie I saw, but I think I watched Warrendale right after that, on the same day. Somebody had lent me the Eclipse set. It’s a very frustrating movie; it’s a rollercoaster of emotions. Sometimes you even like these people in a weird way, but then you also sometimes detest them. You know they’re playacting in front of the camera and that they know it’s there, but when you start to realize just how much they’ve been playacting with each other in this marriage, it’s very disturbing. It makes me start to think about how much people playact in life and in relationships."

The cast and crew of this movie was tasked with the impossible job of living up to a fandom that has thrived (sometimes rabidly and maniacally, sometimes even toxicly) for almost forty years at the time of release.

Adam Driver, Daisy Riddle, John Boyega and company did an admirable job of continuing the saga that was started all those years ago. There was also some heartache to go around for those invested in the saga.

All in all, a good entry for a new generation of fans while also mostly satisfying fans of old without alienation (except for those toxic folks I spoke of earlier.)
