"I’ve had this one since I was a teenager. This is the soundtrack to a movie called The Flasher. The music sounds like a Superfly version of electronic music for plants. The back cover has some genius film stills of the Flasher flashing old ladies and statues. I want to find this movie."

"I’m not being funny. That song, “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” I can barely make it through that song, it’s so beautiful. And “On the Street Where You Live,” the soundtrack just has great song after great song and it’s beautiful melodies and literate songwriting, just one great song after another."

"Francis Ford Coppola, man. Just the stories that happened on that set. And the soundtrack that they use in that film is so f**king cool. Great performances and a wonderful, entrancing movie — Brando and Dennis Hopper and Duvall. “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” — what a great quote."

The movie is certainly shot with some passion and that shows in the overall production values. From the look of the movie to the emotional and delightful soundtrack that accompanies it throughout. Piotr Glowacki puts on a stunning performance as Pietrzykowski and brings us a performance that is fantastic to watch.

I liked the movie, but I honestly don't see it as Best Picture-worthy. I can see the Best Actor nomination, and some of the other nominations that it has received, but it's just not Best Picture material in my mind. It's still worth seeing, especially if you liked Queen. (Obviously, great soundtrack, too. Lol)
