I found the first three Leprechaun films to be consistently average, but Leprechaun 4: In Space puts a brutal end to that middle of the road streak and aims straight for the gutter.

Once again, we have a sequel that has absolutely no relation to any of the previous films, is full of unlikable dicks, and has Warwick Davis doing his best to polish a turd, except this time around, there's not a whole lot he can do.
Moving the setting to space is certainly a novelty idea, and a clear indication that this film is not to be taken seriously, but the grandiose idea of spaceships require a half decent budget. The sets look cheap as hell, and the exterior CGI shots of the ship are beneath original PlayStation cutscene levels.

The characters are a bunch of misogynistic, unfunny tossers that aren't relatable in any shape or form. This movie goes in hard with the comedy angle, and granted, a few lines actually got me, but it's mostly misfire after misfire. Leprechaun himself is still just about tolerable, but honestly, even Warwick Davis looks done with this shit by now.

There is still some fun to be had with Leprechaun 4, but it's mostly a boring and lazy sequel. If you've seen the first three and are satisfied with the amount of limerick riddled material consumed, then you could probably give this one a skip and just enjoy your day instead.

"It's just the way that they manage to get so much done in such a short space of time. It's three minutes. Change. Two minutes. Change. But they manage to get all of these beautiful things to happen, and I think you can sense that something amazing is about to happen. With the transition in British pop music at the time, it was losing a lot of the peace and love and starting to get quite moody. It reflected a lot of things that were happening, or at least on the horizon, at the time. The economy, the Vietnam war, the Troubles in Ireland, all of these different things. You could sense that something was happening to The Beatles on Revolver. It was exciting for me as well, because the stuff on this album is a long way off from 'She Loves You'. It was all quite mature and sophisticated. From day one I was a Beatles fan though. Those tunes are infectious and it's impossible not to like them. There's just something about their instant communication that I really love. I still listen to them now, and I find their music very inspiring. They were a direct influence on 'Breaking The Law' and 'Living After Midnight'. Those two songs are straight out of the Beatles songbook as far as simplicity and getting to the point goes. Short, little songs that sail away in a short space of time and are packed with hooks, melody and riffs."

I was drawn into this pretty much from the first page. Blair is a bit of a contradiction in the fact she looks like trouble but is actually really nice, if a little naughty and playful at times. It starts with her stealing a parking space from someone in a diner parking lot and buys two pieces of pie, one for herself, one as an apology for the guy whose space she took. They argue/chat for a while and you can see they have an instant connection/attraction which ends up leading to a steamy make out session in the guys car. They part ways and Blair continues on to her dads house but it turns out that the guy she made out with lives across the road from her new home with his gran.

I really liked this. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being a-new-to-me-author but God, is it good! I was so emotionally invested in these two.

I cried like a baby towards the end with the Jemma incident. How could everyone turn on her like that? She'd not been any trouble, she'd never shown any interest in drugs and they're all ready to throw her out and wash their hands of her apart from Granny Yo. And then Granny Yo... *sniffles*

I'm glad these two got their HEA and I'm interested to see what happens in the rest of the series.
