Any alpha dinosaur!
Both terrifying and good fun!
This game is so fun! Never did I ever think I'd be able to ride a raptor into a forest and come flying back out a minute later being chased by a t-rex! It's both exhilarating to finally escape the dinosaur that was after you and terrifying!
One tip for if you play this game, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR YOUR BASE! I say this as it is very annoying to try and move all the dinosaurs you have tamed somewhere else!

The multiplayer is also very fun! The ability to build a little community with your friends then go out and find dinosaurs together is very fun!

I was very impressed with this new approach to drawing lessons. Fresh and different there is a lot to learn. There are several "Chapters" touching on subjects such as: Shading, Using Negative Space, Checking Proportions, Simplifying Things, and more. Seeing the examples and poor David's frustration at constantly having to redraw lines, helps me feel a little more normal in my artwork. I love the interaction between teacher and student. David's eagerness to learn and study...And his teacher's guiding hand, bringing him back to earth. I recommend this book for those who have a basic concept of drawing, but would like to learn more. Have fun with it, and remember, art is NOT like math!

I received a free copy of The Drawing Lesson through Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Book #5 in the 'Beyond the Frontier' sub-set of the 'The Lost Fleet' series of books (so book # 11 if read in order, or roughly #14 if you include 'The Lost Stars' spin-off series), in which 'Black Jack' Geary is in pursuit of rogue AI ships, created by how own government, which have since malfunctioned and attacked Alliance ships.

Unlike the previous in the series ([b: Steadfast|17230200|Steadfast (Spellcaster, #2)|Claudia Gray|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1372091229s/17230200.jpg|23745045]), the majority of this is given over to (numerous) and relativistic space-time battles, instead of to the politicking of before. Perhaps too much so, however ...

(It's almost as if [a: Jack Campbell|55547|Jack Campbell|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1302415236p2/55547.jpg] has over-compensated from what appears to be a common criticism of the previous)

Tips for reading this book:

1) remove annoying people from your space that disturb you else you may accidentally feel empathy to a moon caste demon who is prejudice against humans.

2) start reading in the morning (not 6pm like me) because there is no point which you can put the book down and the need to sleep is an annoying inteference.

3)ensure reading nest is stocked with fluid and snacks as per 2) there is no point you want to put book down. It does not stop. the action. The love. The horror. The hope. The racing hearts. The fire. No stop. You will not want to stop.

4) have tissues. It is a bittersweet story.

5) you are strong and wonderful and beautiful. Listen to Natasha's advice at the front of the book.

Unexpected Voyage Home
This book finds Commander Toad and the crew of the Star Warts winding down their mission to explore the galaxy. After several years in space, they can now head home for some much needed rest. So, Commander Toad puts the command into the computer. Only, when they arrive, they don’t recognize the planet at all. What has happened?

This is the final picture book about these characters, but all the charm is still here. There are plenty of laughs and puns. The storyline is good and gets resolved in a way the intended audience will understand. Parents might have to help young reader with a few words, but it is a good challenge when the time comes to expand young readers’ vocabulary. The illustrations perfectly capture the story while also sliding in a few extra jokes.

Fun, fast-paced and funny
have never read the original Artemis Fowl books but now I absolutely intend to. The Fowl Twins is highly enjoyable, even if, like me, you have never read the Artemis books. The action is fast-paced and grabs the reader right away. The personalities of the twins are very different and highly engaging. There is a constant funny banter between them. There are a lot of moving parts: a villainous nobleman, a nasty nun, a fairy who is called a pixel (pixie/elf hybrid) and a small but highly destructive troll. Artemis also plays an advisor role from outer space. I really liked Lazuli, the Pixel. The action, pacing and clever gadgets remind me of the James Bond stories, but this book is age appropriate, of course. It seems that Mr. Colfer is a very imaginative fellow.
