"A gloriously ludicrous slice of 1980s cinematic fromage. Between the infectious Queen soundtrack, eye-popping Technicolor special effects, super hot Italian space princess, outrageous production and costume design, a deranged Max von Sydow spitting eminently quotable lines, and a leading man whose principle qualification was being a Playgirl centerfold, this movie had it all. I must’ve watched it fifty times when I was a kid. It was on a near-constant loop in our living room Betamax. One of the great many things I love about being a father is sharing my beloved childhood experiences with my kids. I was so giddily excited to watch this movie with my children when they were old enough. I couldn’t wait. They turned it off halfway through. I spent the next twenty minutes trying to convince them how awesome it was. They weren’t having it. My kids have terrible taste."

Not The Bad
This Remake/Reboot of Planet of the Apes isnt that bad. The action is good, the acting is good, the sci-fi is good. Its that ending that made no sense. Im not sure why people didnt like this film, that its one of the worst remake's/reboots of all time. Its not their are others remakes/reboots that are worst than this.

The plot: Astronaut Leo Davidson whips through space and time to a world where apes and gorillas rule the humans. Captured, he is nurtured by Ari and hunted by General Thade as he leads a rebel group of humans and chimpanzees in search of his downed craft. This is his only hope of escape and, ironically, the planet's only hope of shaking off the tyranny of the gorillas, allowing peaceful humans and chimpanzees to co-exist.

I think its a good film.

How on earth is spunky still alive??
It starts with our favourite loveable characters in space watching their favourite show on VHS until the VCR chews it up, oh memories! After an argument they an earth re-entry button stuck in heffers butt and and press it to get back to earth, only to learn that they are not in the 90s anymore, and they learn to adapt to the 21st century. It isn't long until Rocko finds his favourite show - the fatheads- is no longer on air, so he sets about trying to bring it back, with funny results.
I rather enjoyed this reboot, it felt the same as the 90s version but has upto date things such as smart phones and even transgender issues which was fab. It's a shame it was only a one off as I would love to see it make a full come back.
