Necole (36 KP) rated Hocus Pocus and the All-New Sequel in Books

From a fan of Hocus Pocus movie … I loved this book!!!
Part 1 was just like the movie and well as I was reading, the movie played in my head … Who doesn't love a witch story during the month of October with Halloween around the corner?
There was one difference in that a 4th sister is introduced .. Elizabeth, who is written as the good sister!!!
Part 2 dragged a little but was an exciting twist on a continuation of the Sanderson Sisters and All Hallows Eve. It takes you to present time and introduces us to old characters from the first and original story line but adds new characters like Max's and Allison's daughter Poppy. It also added things relative to now such as the lingo and a lesbian crush.
This definitely was a great story line of finding a blood moonstone which is needed for a spell for eternal life. And the spell book makes an entrance in style with one of the characters being a descendant of a witch!!
The writing style was an easy read, characters were current and relatable to now from the technology to the way they talk and act.
Fanfiction is what I felt like I was reading and I liked that about this book!!!! A fun filled, magical read for Hocus Pocus lovers and readers who just want a fun entertaining book for Halloween and not blood and gore!!!
Was fun to enter the world of the Sanderson sisters once again!!!!

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
The description for this anthology was rather vague, but it was listed under erotica so I went in with an open mind. I was not disappointed. I was treated with some of the most erotic stories I have read in a while. In fact, when I read it, I was in a dry spell with erotica. It seemed that everything I read was lackluster and boring. This duo spurred my love for erotica all over again. My only complaint is that I read through them so quickly that they ended way too soon. I wanted more. Since, I have read more stories from the author, and found them just as enjoyable.
I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a quickie (pun intended).

I adored this book - some of it was a bit confusing so hence the 4 stars, but other than that this was a great book.
I adored the horse that took her back in the end - for real, I could listen (I listened to the audio version - it was awesome) to her talk all day, a whole book one her would be awesome, not even an exaggeration on that one. Her sing-song ways and mannerisms are just fabulous.
I'm unsure how to literally spell ANYTHING because I listened to audio, but the world was fun, I can't wait to listen to the second book - I really enjoyed her husband, even though their story was off to a rocky start, I can't wait to see where they end up and how their realm develops.

A Tethered Duet ( Tethered series book1)
By Jessica Wayne
Can love span centuries? Two hundred years ago, a jealous sorcerer robbed Aine and Aengus of their future together when he ended Aine's life. Now a spell will offer them a second chance...But when Aine returns as Abby to Ireland, can she and Aengus reignite their love? Have the lifetimes apart dampened the love they once felt for each other? Or have the centuries provided the sorcerer with enough power the keep them apart for eternity?
It was a very enjoyable read! A very sweet story with a few dramatic moments! The little prequel story after Was also very sweet! If you like a good old romance with a magical twist you will enjoy this Duet.

He wanted to show that fate ruled people's lives, and that those who interfered with it did so to their sorrow. He put a spell on it so that three separate men could each have three wishes from it.
Can you believe that I'd never heard of this short before and knew nothing of the plot what-so-ever, before today? Well it's the truth. I think being so ignorant to it made me love it more. I got completely immersed in the story and the lives of our caring and lonely White's.
The panic felt in this book translates to the reader so much so that you find yourself short of breath, praying, hoping, that the front door stays shut.
Excellent horror short, well worth taking 10 minutes out of you day to read.

Get your dictionary ready
To be fair, I may be biased, because this is one of my favorite games.
It's super simple to set up and play, all you need to do is get your letter tiles ready. This game does tend to favor those with an immense vocabulary and those who can spell. It is educational and fun though because playing with others can help you add some new words to your own vocabulary. Be prepared to search through dictionaries if your friend plays a word you don't accept. The way my family plays, we also use a dictionary close to the end of the game to use up our last few tiles, but I think that may be against the rules. Overall, 10/10 would recommend!

Be Our Guest
Beauty and the Beast- such a classic, with excellent songs like.."Belle", "Gaston", "Something There", "Be Our Guest" and "Beauty and the Beast".
The plot: An arrogant young prince (Robby Benson) and his castle's servants fall under the spell of a wicked enchantress, who turns him into the hideous Beast until he learns to love and be loved in return. The spirited, headstrong village girl Belle (Paige O'Hara) enters the Beast's castle after he imprisons her father Maurice (Rex Everhart). With the help of his enchanted servants, including the matronly Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury), Belle begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation.
Such a classic movie than their had to remake it. Grr. Like why disney, oh yea i know why $$$. What next a live action of "The Brave Little Toaster".

Dark Voodoo Magic
The Princess and The Frog- holy crap this movie is dark, very dark. Voodoo, magic, death, transformation and more.
The plot: Hardworking and ambitious, Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) dreams of one day opening the finest restaurant in New Orleans. Her dream takes a slight detour when she meets Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), who has been turned into an amphibian by evil Dr. Facilier. Mistaking her for a princess and hoping to break the spell, Naveen plants a kiss on poor Tiana -- thereby turning her into a frog as well. The pair hop along on an adventure through the bayous to seek the help of a powerful voodoo priestess.
A very dark disney film, the darkness film since "The Black Cauldron". I mean their was "Beauty and The Beast" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". But damn this movie was dark.

A unique spin on the "deck builder". I like that instead of building a deck of cards, you are building a bag of dice. Each die has a different "spell" with a different power depending on how you roll. The game has the potential to be different every time you play, depending on the expansions you have. The fighting mechanic is well done and easy to maneuver. I would suggest using the "mat" included on the back of the instructions as sometimes it is hard to remember what has been spent and what is locked or on deck.
If you like to have complete sets of games and own all the expansions (like my friends and I do), it's good to know that the Light and Dark expansion doesn't really play well when mixed with the rest of the game. It does work as a stand alone though.
