What this film is able to do really well is understand Spider-Man's abilities and how he can use them to navigate different problems in creative ways.

2004.
Were still in pre-MCU era, and still have Toby Maguire in the dual role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Loosely adapting the classic 'Spider-Man no more' comic run, this is also the movie with Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, and with the whole 'stopping the train' sequence, that still stands as one of the best superhero sequels to date!

Just watched omg in my opinion the best spider - man movie so far there won't be any spoilers here the film has it all villains many of them and there are many scenes that made me go yes for me as long time spider fan I almost cried at certain points in the movie and it was brilliant seeing jk Simmonds back as j jonah jameson spider - man movie wouldn't be the same without him. Overall just wow

Mention the words Spider-man, and I'm sure the first thing most people think of is the Marvel comics.
Maybe closely followed by the 70s TV series or 90s cartoon, and the more recent big-screen outings.
What I'm pretty sure is not commonly thought of, however, is a Spider-Man prose novel, which is exactly what this is, alongside being a prequel tie-in to the really-rather-enjoyable 2018 PS4 game.
That game - and, by extension - this novel, sees Peter Parker roughly already 7 or 8 years into his career as Spider-man, with the novel serving to set up the entry levels into the game in which (no spoilers) Spider-Man takes on Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin of Crime, and showing how he got to have his contact in the police force Yuri Wattanabe (sp?)

Good story (2 more)
More Gwen Stacey
The Spider-Verse
Great Sequel
Across the Spider-Verse is a great sequel to the 1st film a whole 5 years later. Featuring a much bigger story line and so many types of Spider-Man or Woman. Good to see more of the Gwen Stacey character and her story in this. So many different twists and turns across the various Spider-Verse. Roll on next year for the next one.

This movie.... Was.... *sigh* such a letdown. I wanted to like this movie so much. Iron Ma-- I mean, Spider-man was pretty good in this film. But it felt like a teenage romcom/road-trip movie and a superhero movie thrown together. It was like eating my favorite appetizer dipped in ice-cream.... Yuck. I thought that Jake Gyllenhaal's performance was probably the best. And as a villain he was one that we had seen at least four times before. Also, this is the second Spider-Man movie in a row where we didn't get a Spider-Man villain, we got an Iron Man villain who takes it out on Peter. Boo.

Why another version
Same story boy gets bitten by spider get unbelivable powers. I know there was different version of the comic in many ways but, why ruin a good thing. Emma Stone is good but no better than Dunst. I also didn't buy Goldberg as spider man
