Mary Poppins Returns (with a bang!)
Went with my husband and (nearly 20 year old) daughter, the main draw for her was Lin-Manuel Miranda (she is a big "Hamilton" fan), but the original with Julie Andrews was also a favourite growing up. What can I say? It was lively, engaging, amusing and had clever graphics and spectacular musical numbers in the spirit of the original film. Would definitely watch this again, Emily Blunt was really good. And it had Julie Walters. And Meryl Streep!! What more can you ask for?

An average entry into the conjuring universe
So yet another entry into the conjuring universe and probably the poorest one so far.A rushed introduction into how the evil spirit La Llorona became could have done with a bit more background story.

Then we follow a family who gradually come into contact with this spirit and how they enlist the help of an ex priest to help them fight it.They could have done with not showing LL so much as she gradually becomes less frightening after each attack on the family.

Worth checking out if your a fan of the conjuring universe.

Chance the Rapper's Coloring Book is one of the strongest rap albums released this year, an uplifting mix of spiritual and grounded that even an atheist can catch the Spirit to.

"Oshima is often likened to Godard, but I think the true kindred spirit is Fassbinder—for the restless intellect and furious productivity, and the rage, wit, and lucidity with which they probed their respective national psyches. These are also two of the most devastating films ever made about racism."

"I loved that about Lenny as well — it combines this documentary feel and captures a spirit of who the true people were, separate from who the performer was. I love that sort of dialogue in cinema in general. It’s sort of the difference between the private and the public."
