Spooky Kids Book
I listened to the audio book narrated by Gaiman himself, which I think helped enhance the experience as he does a great job. Despite really being a children's story I was still able to enjoy this and have little doubt if I’d come across it as a child it would of been a favourite, up there the my Dahl books.
It’s a spooky story about the young girl Coraline, she’s a likeable character with plenty of sass. When she discovers a door to a secret world where she has another Mother and Father who seem more loving and attentive then her own, it seems like a good place to spend some time despite their odd black button eyes. Coraline is rapidly pulled into a game of high stakes with her other Mother.
The sinister nature of the button eyed creatures was rather ruined for me because I had previously seen a bit of a Simpsons Halloween episode based on this. I did keep having flashes of Marge with button eyes which spoiled the atmosphere. The spooky rats singing on the audio version did send chills through me and along with Gaiman’s narration I would recommend the audio version.

Happens in Vermont!
VT author - wonderful thriller
Loved this book! I picked it up because there aren't that many Vermont authors that get very popular, but McMahon has definitely been getting popularity. I couldn't put this book down after I started reading it, and I couldn't read it in the dark alone! Definitely a good sign.
Give it a try!

Oh dear! Be afraid, very afraid...of the closet!?? It had a good opening then went down hill so quick it's unbelievable. Not scary, spooky, creepy at all. Would have been better as an 18/R rating film. I have to mention the cgi was a joke as well.....and this has 2 sequels, that's something to be afraid of!

Atmospheric Masterpiece
A spooky psychological suspense/horror film that will draw you in and get under your skin. Set in the famously huge Danvers asylum, which has been closed for years, we start with a 5-guy asbestos clean-up crew charged with making the building safe for renovations. We end with...something else. Just watch! And probably rewatch because it begs for it.

Spooky fun!
I love both Em and Christine’s story telling! I like that I hear old favorite stories from a new perspective as well as stories I’ve never heard before! I always want a glass of wine or milkshake after listening!

A great Spanish ghost story/thriller which I'm sure said it was directed by Guiilermo Del Toro? I saw the trailer and had to see this. It's very creepy at times, largely due to the spooky location. It's a very good story well told and directed. Reminded me of The Others, The 6th sense most of all, so if you like those you'll love this.

I thought this was a pretty decent horror film overall. Starts well it has a few gory scenes and the old shopping mall has a spooky feel to it and a different ending from the usual stuff we get. Tries to be a bit too much like the @The Ring (2002) in the second half but still a enjoyable film all the same.
