Roller-Coaster
Riding The Bullet- is a underrated psychological horror thriller film based off of a stephen king novel.
The Plot: Ever since his father passed away, art student Alan Parker (Jonathan Jackson) has been hypnotized by thoughts of death. After his girlfriend, Jessica (Erika Christensen), breaks up with him, Alan attempts suicide but is rescued by his friends. The next day, he learns that his mother (Barbara Hershey) has just had a serious stroke, and he sets out to hitchhike to her hospital. Along the way, he meets a series of strange people, including sinister George Staub (David Arquette), who may be Satan.
Its psychological, horrorfying, thrilling, chilling, spooky, terrorfying and super underrated.
I would highly reccordmend this movie.

Sammeh Lowry (15 KP) rated Coraline in Books

I am 25 years of age,and this book terrified me. I LOVED it, it was spooky it was creepy it was absolutely fantastic. The illustrations in it were just magnificent and the story itself was one I have never known before. It was so well written with just the right amount of creepyness. Coraline moves into a new home, but something doesn't feel right. Is it the mist? or the signs of danger people keep warning her about? It's not. It's the flat that is empty behind the door in the drawing room. Where her other Mother and Father live, with black buttons for eyes and papery skin. They're waiting for Caroline to join them and stay forever and ever. Oh I just LOVED it!

Deliciously creepy and full of tension.
I haven't read anything by Caroline Mitchell before but I was initially drawn by the cover and then intrigued by the blurb which sounded like something I would enjoy and, overall, I wasn't disappointed.
There are some great characters and a fabulous plot which combines urban legend, creepy house, serial killer, murder mystery, police procedural and the paranormal. The pace is pretty good and the twists and turns provided suspense from the start.
This is a good spooky read and certainly made a nice change to the usual crime thrillers and I have to give a thank you to Embla Books and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.
