Good family game
Grimm Forest is an overall great game. The age range says 14+, but I have a 6 year old who is able to play it with little to no help. The age range probably is in reference to the fable cards and some friends cards, but you honestly don't need to use them. So far, a strategy of just taking an extra resource each time you aren't building something seems to be quite effective. The built in storage is very nice, and makes cleanup a breeze. The artwork is very well done, and their customer service it's top notch as well. A charachter model broke, and they sent me a replacement right away which I received quickly.

The only negative things I have it's that I don't like painting the models/characters, so I wish they came painted (though I know some people really enjoy the painting process). Also, the gameplay can get old, but that's probably because my family couldn't put it down for the first week we had it, so many games were played.

Overall this is a great game that will stay in our family (and away from donating during spring cleaning)!

Georgie is off the Italy in the spring of 1935. She is going to keep her friend Belinda company until she gives birth to her baby in secret. However, when the Queen finds out about Georgie’s plans, she worms Georgie’s way into a nearby house party to Georgie can learn if the Prince of Wales has secretly married Mrs. Simpson. When Georgie arrives, she finds a strange assortment of guests, which include her mother with another mission for Georgie. Can she accomplish any of it?

I look forward to this series because they are always fun, and this book is no exception. As Georgie is heading out to her ultimate destination, we get updates on everyone in her life. This may slow things down for those new to the series, but fans will absolutely love it. Once we reach Italy, things pick up and get very interesting quickly. I love how the global politics of the day was woven into this book while still giving us an entertaining mystery and keeping the tone light as always.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book.

Truth or Dare (2018)
Truth or Dare (2018)
2018 | Horror, Thriller
Average, not really scary at all
A bunch of spring breakers visit an old abandoned mission building in Mexico one night and play a game of truth or dare. Unfortunately though, the game follows them back home and they must continue to play or face the consequences. The supernatural game follows the same order of play from the night they first played, and when it's your turn you either see the words 'truth or dare' written wherever you go, or people around you take on a weird grinning face and say the words until you answer. If you refuse to play or fail your dare, you die a gruesome death.

The trouble with this movie is that it's not remotely scary. The face that everyone pulls when possessed by the spirit running the game is like some weird Snapchat filter, more funny than spooky. The acting is ok, but everyone plays their roles deadly serious. It's a ridiculous concept and it should have played on that more as pure entertainment rather than as a horror, which this most definitely isn't.

It was watchable enough though, and I was happy to see it through to the end. Unfortunately though, that ending builds up to a big, ridiculous cop out leaving you very disappointed.

Yes the ending was terrible and didn't fit the earlier actions in the film.
