I thought I’d made a mistake when I was approved to read this on NetGalley. I’d requested it based on the cover photo, the fact that I’d seen it popping up on Book Twitter, and the authors name appealed to me! I read the first two pages and still thought I’d made a mistake, and then I COULDN’T STOP READING!! This book is like literary crack!
Emmy, the main character, is one of those outwardly lovely people, who beneath that veneer doesn’t really seem to care about anybody else. I even wondered at one point if she particularly liked her children or husband. Her husband seems long-suffering, backed in to a corner, having to put up with his wife being an Influencer on Instagram and ruling their lives based on the photos she must take, the places she must go to, and the companies she must appease. After all, she’s the main breadwinner in the family. He hasn’t managed to finish his second book after the success of the first. And then there’s another voice in the story.
At first this stalker seems only mildly threatening (like there’s a rating!), but as the book progresses and the stalker tells us more of their story, she begins to become more menacing.
Now, I post book reviews on Instagram more as a personal record. The likes and feedback are a bonus, and I get especially giddy if one of my favourite reviewers or, god forbid, the author, comments on what I’ve written! But to have millions of followers and millions of pounds depending on my content - it’s something that sounds far too stressful! This world was utterly fascinating to me. And the last 30% or so of the book is just devastating (I’m warning you!). This is well worth a read: I’d most definitely recommend this book - and I’m so glad that I chose this book by it’s cover!
Many thanks to the publishers, Mantle, for giving me access to a copy of this book on NetGalley.

SIn Mine get another Book Boyfriend
Out of all Indie authors i know there are two that can attack your emotions so brutally and beautifully you will never know to read another book again or just give up and cry in the corner.
There are numerous complex and multi-dimensional characters in Allison books my favorite belongs in this series.
Alexander Sinclair more commonly known as Sin a moody Bar tender who has heart of gold. Even the psychopathic Stalker Travis has something about him has a sexy I know you could kill rape kill and torture me but man your so appealing there's a part of me that don't care.
These books deal with the darkest of real world situation and should you be of a squeamish nature do not read.

Dark humour
Sympathetic stalker.
Joe is an intelligent book store worker and he's not bad looking either. Problem is he might just be a psychopath. He becomes obsessed with women he believes are the one and from there on out he sets out to make them his and protect them no matter what that takes.
It has an underlying theme of dark humor with many finding the character of Joe to be incredibly sympathetic despite his actions and I did quite often find myself laughing at the series. I devoured it in 2 days and just couldn't stop watching despite the fact that I didn't feel at all sympathetic towards his victim Beck and even at times found her quite annoying and pathetic.
You looks set to be one of Netflixs biggest TV hits for this year and with a sequel already in development it's certainly worth a good binge.

An average thriller
I recall watching this at the cinema when this was first released and thought it was alright, and watching it again 5 years later my view hasn't really changed.
This has a good cast, I always love Jason Bateman and it's nice to see Joel Edgerton directing and acting and I think he does a good job in both. The plot itself seems very similar to other stalker/obsessive/revenge films but it's still quite entertaining and fortunately not overly long. The problem is I wouldnt say this is particularly thrilling or tense. The ending is a little surprising but it feels rather lacklustre in general as a psychological thriller. I also found character motivations and actions to be a little unusual and unexplainable, to the point it makes the film even more unbelievable than it is to begin with.
Overall it's an average watchable psychological drama which is sadly ultimately forgettable.

Weak 3 stars, if I'm being totally honest. Everything moved too fast. I didn't appreciate how quickly Jackson seemed to get over his anxiety, how relatively easy it was for him - in my opinion, that was nowhere near an accurate depiction of how someone overcomes or battles their anxiety. Granted, he experienced an almost-panic attack, but I still felt like it was dismissed too easily. Also, the build up was practically nonexistent. Harley keeps repeating that she's been "waiting so long" for everything that happens and the fact they barely know each other, yet she still feels this way, really grated on my nerves. The scene where her stalker "accidentally" hits the unlock button after slamming on his brakes made me roll my eyes. I feel like the story has potential; perhaps the next book is written better and in a way that doesn't make the characters boring, but I don't believe I'll be reading it.

Brilliant thriller!
Brilliant films with really good characters.
The story line is amazing and allows your to fully understand the characters feelings and emotions and shows what there going through and how tough life is at this moment in time.
It all starts with a lady going through a tough divorce, she is already late trying to get her child to school she looses her biggest client and her soon to be ex-husband is making her life tough. Pulling up to a junction she honks her horn to a guy that doesn't seem to be moving........this was the wrong move as she soon learns this maniac doesn't let things go and begins stalker her and making her pay for her 'rudeness' and unforgiving personality. This is a matter of life and death as she puts everyone she knows in danger, plenty of gore and kept me in the edge of my seat throughout.
Highly recommended.
