It's hard even to pick your favourite that utilises a core set of characters.
If I was asked for my favourite Witches book, it would be a toss up between 'Lords and Ladies' and 'Maskerade'. My favourite stand-alone? Probably 'Small Gods'. My favourite Death? 'Soul Music'.
My favourite City Watch? Quite possibly this one.

My favorite interviewee was the former assistant that found out about it via court docs delivered to the office and up and quit. There were other assistants that quit too. I like people with conviction to stand up. But, too bad they were all paid off/signed noon-disclosure agreements.
It's an interesting documentary, though it is completely disturbing,

Oh my god this book. It really had good premise and did like that the female lead was srong enough to stand up fr herself at points but the fact that she easily backed out of that strength and easily forgave bugged me. I also didnt feel a connection between the couple.
All in all a major disappoinment for me.

It deals with loss and loneliness and fear of the unknown as a single mother struggles to raise her disturbed child whilst dealing with grief at the loss of her husband and the deep emotions involved.
Very effective and fresh approach that expertly builds tension and the Babadook itself will freak you out!
