I was excited to view this film when I first saw a trailer for it. The concept seemed very interesting. Sadly, the execution was a bit off the mark.

I stand by my belief that the actual story is quite good and original. But the amount of time taken between relevant scenes build a story that really doesn't need to be told and ends up mudding things up to a degree that when the movie ends there are more questions than answers.

Acting was good. Visually pleasing. VERY SLOW throughout most of the movie. Give it a go if you have unyielding curiosity, a few extra hours, and a desire to be left wanting.

Geraldine "Gerry" Porter is concerned when her friend Linda disappears from a craft show. She's even more concerned when Linda turns up in the middle of the night near the scene of a murder and refuses to talk about what happened to her. I loved the characters, except for Linda. Just could not stand her. The plot was decent if slow at the beginning.

I shouldn't have downloaded this. I should have left this well alone and just had the first book as a stand alone because i think my tastes have changed a little since i read the first book--and gave it 5 stars.

I struggled to get into this and skimmed it from about 20% to the current 60% before giving up. I just couldn't gel with the story or characters. Maybe i just couldnt remember enough of the first book...so yeah. DNF.

This follow up to A Dark Lure did not disappoint. Set in the same area, it revisits a few characters from the debut but is almost entirely a stand alone novel. It was exciting and thrilling, just like it’s predecessor. The characters were well rounded and had the depth and realism that make a great novel. I wish the “initial” case had been delved into a bit deeper but I was very happy with the story and all its components. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
