Gripping read
This is a very lengthy epic read, but at least it's a very good one.

The plot itself is an intriguing one, and very similar to stories Stephen has written in the past (The Stand, Under the Dome etc). I always love these stories and the fact that they're told from the perspective of multiple characters, and Sleeping Beauties really works like this. I could barely put the book and couldn't wait to get it finished. There are a lot of themes running through this that are very similar to King's other stories and as a King fan, I loved it.

The ending itself was maybe slightly disappointing, it seems to have been wrapped up very quickly despite having spent 600+ pages leading up to it. In short, it's a very enthralling read, even if it isn't quite up the standards of King's usual epic novels.

This film is based upon the book, @The Dark Fields . It's a fairly good adaptation. The cinematography is cool, I like how it became brighter and more clear whenever the drug was in effect.
I really can't stand Abbie Cornish, but she was easy to ignore (the whole breaking up Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe made me dislike her). There were a few additional plot lines that were never resolved, but they weren't even pertinent to the main plot line and didn't need to be in there anyway.

This is the seventh book in this series by this author and can be read as a stand alone read. I was hooked from the first page, what a great story. This author has a fab way of connecting with the characters so you end up doing the same. The characters chemistry was definitely hot. This story will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster of a ride. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

I've always had fond memories of watching this movie as a child. Listening to the audio book narrated by Wilem Dafoe (who did great job, although the voices for Bethany and Rudy were extremely irritating) was pretty great overall. My biggest criticism is that a couple of the male characters stand out as exceptionally competent while the females are weak and needy, and it makes things feel a little imbalanced. I rewatched the movie after finishing it, and although the effects don't hold up that well, give it a shot anyway!
